Actually IMHO just Demand paging and HSDPA would of satisfied my needs although i have now lost hope of Nokia releasing a real next gen in that format as really thought the N93i was a step backwards especially with that Razr style Keypad as the original N93 has one of the best and almost tactile keypads i have used, i could even type in Laptop mode fast.
I have to say no true N93 replacement the destruction of the E61 format for the E71 and Nokia are not making me a happy boy that's for sure. Thankfully the E90 will see me through for quite a while as my next devcie will definitely have an OMAP 3 Series chip or similar, other wise there really is no point upgrading for me. I'm really not sure if i want to go back to a touchscreen devcie again though even if i can appreciate that they have made huge improvement's in recent times and continue to.

The N93i was a real disappointment, they took out some of the best features of the N93 (I've never seen any other LCD screen that can be so easily viewed in sunlight) and keypad replacing them with inferior functions and made some of weaker aspects (battery) worse. Would like to see it redeveloped as an E-series phone by changing the keypad so it would work as a double tap keyboard when rotated 90 degrees, remove the optical barrel (while nice, it means you can't really type on the side, increase the battery and possibly the main screen size. I thought the form factor worked well as the hinge mechanism was very robust (moreso than a slide) and the two screen direction would also suit the dual keyboard.
I'm loving the large screen on the E90 although it's making using normal phones a lot more difficult as they seem so cramped. Tried the Sportracker application which I was really impressed with although my position seems to be fairly consistently about 20m to the West out.

I did try an E65 before getting an E51 to replace my old E50 (all these E numbers aren't good for my bank balance) and found mine to have a loose slide action so sent it back. Everyone I've tried since has been rock solid so think I was just unlucky. Anyhow my E51 is proving reliable, just wish Nokia had maybe given it a slightly bigger screen. |

@bearcup good point. one of the reasons i didnt go for e51, that screen is a joke, even e60 has got a bigger one. hows your standby time?
