A T39mc cannot be flashed to become a T39m. i.e. Can't put T9 on it.
To upgrade the SW for either models, you have to get it done by Ericsson Canada(by courier, for free), or DSI(drop off, for $25)
Call 1-800-ERICSSON
These models are not officially released in Canada. That's why it's not easy to have them serviced by Ericsson. |

Just as a sideline.... how do you plan to upgrade the phone.... Isn't all this info in the ROM?

I found that it had change the default SMS massage text input for chinese character from stroke input to pinyin input.

@Ladis: Well, I don't have R4A [yet], but I've heard the opposite from most of the people who've upgraded to it. So far, the feedback's been good...no resets nor hanging. |

Then I will upgrade it, coz I also heard that it has fixed bug in simtoolkit. Problem was that when you received secured sms from Bank with flip closed and later you want to read that message, phone was hanged and only way was to remove battery, after that you can read message normal without hanging. So now it is fixed in R4A008. |

I just upgraded my t39 to r4a008 and in general everything is faster eaven sms wrting!!but i have a problem with GPRS Wap!!!can't login, i get the message "wrong user id or password".Anyone has the same problem or knows anything??? |
