numb,
The creak is not when I press the keys, it's when I press the front face (accidentaly but quite often as keys are not protruding).
Can you confirm you have the same problem as me or not ? If not it will give me weight to complain to SE service
For ppl getting bored of this topic, I'm just trying to understand if it's a general problem or just a manufacturing problem of my unit.

no creaking, no matter where I press at the front, buttons, display, whatever.
Only way I can get any slight creaksound is by applying pressure to the lens cover with my thumb, and this I find absolutely normal.

Creaking? Crashing?? Are y'all on crack?
Seriously, I've had the 750i for a few weeks now and I think it's great, and I came FROM a P800. No crashes, no creaking, sound quality is quite good (and unlike the P800, people can hear me fine all the time) and bluetooth sync on my Mac is pretty good indeed...thanks to Kinky Koala http://www.kinkykoala.com/macstuff/k750i/ for that.
I love the phone. Most of y'all are nuts.

just cause you got lucky and got a good handset doesn't mean these people are on crack or are insane. they obviously got handsets that creak, what's so hard to believe? Just like if i tell you that i can silence my shutter sound and if you cant, then are you on crack? sorry. but still... these guys have these issues with their phones. |

I definitely think some people analyse their phones far too much though.
My K750i creaks like crazy if i press the case far too hard, but in normal operation its fine.
I think its just a case that some people expect their phones to be more perfect than they actually can possibly be.

Yes i sort of agree with Etaab..... but i know what the others mean as well.
Don't get me wrong, i love the phone esp. the camera.....but the build quality does let it down imo!!!
I think it all comes down to how much of an issue it is for the individual.
A K750i with the build quality of my S700i would make me a happy man. |

I've had numerous ericsson phones over the past few years (768,T68,T68i,T610,P800,P900,P910i), and none of them have ever creaked like my K750i did. Just pushing any of the keys at the front, made the battery cover creak like crazy. Luckily O2 have taken mine back to get replaced with a new one because of the software issues. |

I held a k750 and was instantly not impressed with build quality. I remember the day i bought my t610 i dropped it onto a sheet of metal and though, oh no, its gonna be broken and to my amazement it was fine and still going to this day (and getting dropped just as much). I seriously doubt the k750 could hold up to the same scrutiny! |

Me too, but then again the T610 was far less fragile.
The K750i and all these newer phones tend to be naturally more fragile than older phones.
Do you think that the S700i would be completely undamaged if you dropped it on a solid concrete floor ?

After reading this thread I studied my K750 and noticed that there is a gap between the lower face plate (around the keypad) and the silver color "body". When I press the face plate between C-key and Camera button it moves and creaks. The lens cover is fine on mine. |

etaab : when you invest over 380€ into a phone, the least you can expect is that you are not disappointed and annoyed by manufacturing defects.
As we can read some ppl have problem and some not, so I assume it's a quality control problem at SE's factory.
I will have it serviced (that is opened and checked for possible misalignments or things like that).

Im not afraid for my K750i at all, I cross examined my geek self for it as well, I dont know whats wrong with me, but I was more careful with my 2 year old P800. But I throw my K750i around and if it falls, dont really care at all.
Maybe because it seems like a cheap handset by the feel of it.
