masseur can you press multiple keys, eg when playing a game?

i've read that you cannot uses more than a key a time with the spv c500 (??)

http://www.mobileground.com

EDIT: On the airfagev site are some nice skins for homescreen and media player

Live Radio Streaming:

Can someone confirm if the radio streaming works with your HTC Typhoon/Feeler phone via WAP/Internet access?

I think i'm going for the sp3 (spv c500)... since i've read (on expansys) that are many faulty sp3i (joystick, keyboard, dead pixels).. and i'am an unlucky person in general...

@masseur, did i-mate release a ROM update with WMP10? they said that are going to release an update in december...

no update so far for either SP3i or my iPAQ to give WMP10

my joystick it as firm and responsive as the day I bought it so if you really want an SP3i you might like to get mine as soon as I receive my JAM

well I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but the SP3/SPV never did anything for me. The SP3i does look more professional and useful

@romanu' yes, i think i will get one in January..

well you can buy the phone at the same price, even if you get it without orange subscription (when i'd posted the post with 4$/mounth subriction there was a misunderstanding on orange's site...)

So you can get the phone for ~344USD (incl. tva).

I don't know about unlucking, but there are some sites for this (you have to pay):
- http://www.c500-unlock.com/
... but ask a service center and let me know if they can unluck it..

Read this topic also: Unlock SPV yourselves to use other SIM than Orange

OK, I just got my sp3i from Expansys and I am pretty happy. I had a i-mate xda2 and I returned it because I thought it was too wide to hold comfortably, and I hated using the stylus, and I hated not having a keypad, and I hated the fact that you could not have external memory in it if you wanted to have BlueTooth since they both used the same SD slot.

I like the sp3i because it's nice and small, I don't need to do MS Office apps on the go so I don't need all that PDA functionality, etc., etc. I have downloaded a couple of pretty nice games and I have a 256 mb mini-SD card full of mp3s so I feel it will do most of what I want. The camera is great too.

I have a few questions that I am working through, but I really need this one answered as soon as possible since it is affecting my ability to use it as a phone...and that is the primary reason for its purchase after all! I am sure it's there somewhere but I can't figure it out.

When I need to find a name in my list of contacts, I press the Contacts softkey. This gives me the entire list, starting at a (or numbers). Suppose I want to find someone named Tom. I press 8 (t) and it goes to the first contact whose last name begins with T. Question is, if I have 15 contacts whose last names begin with T, how do I page down past the first set of 8 that are visible without having to scroll through them individually?

Related to this, suppose I want to find all people whose last names begin with U. If I press 8, it finds T. If I press 88, it finds TT. How do I get it to search for names beginning with U? I don't want to scroll through 15 T's to get to the U's. Ideally, I would like to be able to get to the U's directly. If this is not possible, I would at least like to be able to get through the T's one screen at a time, rather than one name at a time,

I have found that if I am at T, and I press up on the joystick, then it takes me to the last V, so I can go down the list of T's, one name at a time, or go up the list of V's, one name at a time. It's not terribly efficient either way.

I would really appreciate some tips on how to scroll through my phonebook efficiently. Thank you very much in advance.

When I need to find a name in my list of contacts, I press the Contacts softkey. This gives me the entire list, starting with A (or numbers if I have any entries that begin with numbers). So, suppose I want to find someone named Tom. I press the 8 key (also TUV) and it goes to the first contact whose last name begins with T. Question is, if I have 45 contacts whose last names begin with T, how do I page down past the first set of 8 that are visible without having to scroll through them individually?

Related to this, suppose I want to get to last names beginning with U. If I press 8 (TUV), it takes me to the first entry beginning with T. If I press 88, it then finds names with TT. I have found that if I am at T, and I press up on the joystick, then it takes me to the last V, so I can go down the list of T's, one name at a time, or go up, starting with the last name beginning with V, again scrolling just one name at a time. It's not efficient or intuitive either way.

I would really appreciate some tips on how to scroll through my phonebook efficiently. Thank you very much in advance.

@romanu' buth operating system can be personalized... but i think the windows smartphones are more powerfull than the symbian (s60) smartphones (and the windows smartphones have faster CPU and more RAM, in general)

However, SPV c500 it's not perfect, see the bug list

@tvrfreak welcome to Esato. Since i don't own a SP3i i can't help you with your problem. Maybe masseur or someone, who actually own a windows smartphone, will help you

A couple more problems today... I really want to like this phone and keep it, but it sure is making things very difficult!

The bluetooth thing is completely hokey. I don't know what the point is. I am running Windows XP SP2 on my machine, and it detects my HTC Smartphone. But then what? The device does not show up in file explorer windows so you cannot transfer information back and forth, which is the whole point, I think.

ActiveSync also does not recognize the device so you cannot even sync using BlueTooth.

On top of all this, ActiveSync now does not see any device even when I connect the phone using USB. I have rebooted both phone and PC. I am on firmware version 1.1.33.21 on my phone, and I understand that is the latest?

Finally, I had a beautiful picture set as my background. That disappeared. I went through the menus and specified the picture again as the background, but now it is showing only a small corner of the picture. I am presuming that I need to resize the picture to a smaller size, but why did it work last night and why did it stop working? Besides, I can't do it until my computer is able to connect!

Anyone have any tips on this?

Anyone have any tips on how to get in touch with HTC?

Thanks!
