For those of you who are interested you may have seen articles on certain web pages saying that T-mobile launched their 3g data cards in London and Birmingham over the summer (i think it was july august time)
All I'm gonna say is, give it time. We already know that the V800/Z800 or what ever will be available soon on other networks. 3 aren't gonna have it, and orange have the Z1010, so think about it
everyone knows how much voda are rip offs, so trust me give it time

yeah, its the pains of workingaway from home but at least its a short week for me this week and I'll be home tonight
it is branded. it came direct from vodafone and even if I like it, it may well be the reason I don't keep it. we'll see

vodaphones price plan is attractive IMO. 50 pounds for 500 mins free phone free ins and 300 text/33 picture messages is quite good compared to what I get at the moment. I never thought i would say this but I am actuall thinking of swapping networks. The phone does actually look Huuuuuuge compared to the p900.
Does it make up in slimness what it lacks in wideness? (you know what I mean)

online 400 a
400 minutes anytime any network and 1000 free sms
£45
or online 400 b
600 mins anytime any network and 50 free sms
£45
As i said before wait and see

3G is gonna be a real battleground in 2005. Voda are in the lead. I am not gonna be one of those people who wait till everyone else has one either. I can't wait to get my paws on one.

Whilst looking at the V800 today, this guy came looking at it too. When the girl approached she showed him the working model (after i had played with it a little and told her i was just looking).
She had no idea how to use it, i could barely contain my laughter as she said ooh look its even got a light as she blinded herself with the 6 LED's
Within 60 seconds of him walking in the door, he said ah you've sold it to me and signed up to a Vodaphone contract.
If only either of them knew how capable the V800 is.. i just wish they were available unbranded !

OK, so someone asked about the instore Vodafone tariffs...
They are basically £40 and £60 for 500 mins and 1000 anytime anynet voice mins respectively. They are called the '3G Hero' price plans (or 3G exclusive pice plans).
You also get given the £12 optional extras pack thrown in for free. This gives you 100 text, 33 picture or 20 video messages (or any combination). The extras pack can also be used for non-Vodafone Live! browsing (since browsing on Live! itself is free). You have the option of taking one of the higher extras packs instead and they are all cheaper than the standard rates - so £30 pack for £8, £60 pack for £19, or £120 pack for £34. The last one has a special rate for data and so is equivalent to 80MB.
Then you get all the 3G stuff - 50minutes video calling (which is permanent and not just for 3 months like the standard tariffs), free access to sport, film and news, the free Vodafone Live! browsing. You also get the 3 full-track music downloads per month until the end of February that the standard tariffs are getting on 3G. Oh and free ICS on the Anytime 1000 tariff or on Anytime 500 if taken with the £120 extras pack.
So they are basically much better value than the standard tariffs with 3G that you see on the website. Unfortunately the trade-off is that the V800 costs £150 on both of these 3G Hero plans but I guess you have to decide whether you want more attractive price plans or a cheaper handset (£50) on the standard Anytime 500 (£50/month) and Anytime 1000 (£75/month). |

Hmm from the current prices I think I'll be keeping off voda 3G for now.
O2's 50xnet mins and 500txts for £19/month seems a much better idea than Vodas 100mins for £22 on 3G.

Sorry to sound like a wet fart again, I've just been informed that Orange, and T-Mobile are launching within the next fortnight. And there is a lovely Orange 3g phone I think there will be a rush for.
And for those O2 people, it appears that they are launching end of Jan, begining of Feb. Apparently they want to see how the market pans out.
I have the strongest feeling that O2 are gonna have the cheapest 3g tarriffs when they launch. If I remember it was only O2 that has ever offered over 500 FREE txts, imagine what they could offer in 3G.......
