@masseur the sample video recording from that review is horrible, it looks all squashed! Is that the same with yours and how does it play on the device itself?
I have to say I'm really disappointed with the quality of the still camera too (again I dont know how they appear on the device itself)

I got my IMate Jam two days ago and I am loving it to bits. I gave away my SPV C500 within a day of getting it cause I realised that I am NEVER going back to it after playing with this thing!! My only gripes with the Jam are that the still camera is S*** in anything other than bright environments. Even in my living room, you get so much noise through the camera that you get horrible blue speckles everywhere on the photo, complete crap. Also, when listening to music on Windows Media Player, you cant turn the screen off and carry on listening to music, the music will cut off until you turn the screen back on. Found a way around that though, with a piece of software called ScreenLock, but cant believe Microsoft missed such an obvious feature.
Apart from these points though, the Jam has now become my primary phone and I cant imagine using anything else, it does EVERYTHING and is so small!!!!

Yeah, you can turn the screen off while playing music.
in WMP go to menu, options, buttons and assign a button to the "Toggle Screen" setting and there you go!
Its the same on my iPAQ too except that on the iPAQ you can use any button whereas on the JAM it seems you are limited to the centre action button and the immediate pad around it, i.e. you can't use the contacts, calendar, camera etc buttons

i've only had it for a day, but with max brightness, watching vida, making a few calls, sending a few messages, playing with the options, setting it up, sending things to it via the cable and bluetooth, I've got around 75% left.
Which is great!

Taiwan is a part of China for the record. It's a province that is trying to be independant, but isn't as of yet.

Can anyone confirm if it is possible to synch notes that are stored in Outlook with the "Jam" like you could with the P900/910. Thanks.
I think that would make me sway from the C500/p900 to the iMate Jam

yes, it synchronises notes, both the ones attached to contacts and the individual notes that you can create in outlook notes.
Also, whereas phones like K700 can only sync up to 10 notes before they issue a sync error, the JAM works like all pocketpc's and can sync as many notes as you have

@Masseur
After leaning towards purchasing the SE S700, the more and more homework I made on the i-mate, I've had a change of heart.
Specifically when I found out that I could utelize VPN software.
This will allow me to access the corporate network my employer utelizes. I can access applications I use at work remotely.
Not to mention WI FI.
My cell phone provider has the identical unit, It is under the Siemens brand.
Very limited specs details on their website.
This device has many different names depending on where you are purchasing it from. I undersatnd they are all basically HTC-made phones.
AKA -- MDA III or 02XDA II's and many other names......
Is it true that depending on the name (branding), it may have a 1.3 MP cam ?

I feel in Love with the O2 mini (same as iMate Jam) here in Singapore...but it's another pocket PC flop. The dealer said nearly all the ones he has sold had to be returned due to repeated freezing-up and crashing which only battery removal fixed!
And how did they manage to squeeze such atrocious picture quality out of the 1.3mp camera? It isn't even close to the old O2 .3mp camera quality!
