uhh... what's the point? unless you're in the security and surveillance bussiness (or in a covert oragnization), there really is no practical application for this thing for the ordinary consumer, no matter how geeky that consumer is. either that or that consumer is a really demented pervert  |

actually, there is a legitimate artistic use for infrared filters on cameras...and it just so happens that phone cameras work well because they don't put ir blockers in them like expensive digi cams do

For the benefit of those not inclined to check the link:
You can indeed take infrared pics with phonecams, however only "near infrared". (Point an infrared remote at your cam lense, press a button on the remote and watch the lcd on your camera )
What the "x-ray" cameras do is photograph thermal radiation (far infrared), which requires special equipment, not just a simple filter (from what I understand).
It is the thermal radiation you need to capture if you want to "see" through people's clothes.

a sample of picture (add on hardware)X-ray cam has been posted here ypu can download the sample pic taken from 6600(modif to x ray)shows inside ur clothes,but only syntehtic,original silk material can see through chick clothes.....(not working to nylon, catoon, jeans material).
if you use this x ray cam in the swimming pool hemm...feel like in heaven,cause 90% bikini or swimm suit is from synthetic material.
