Of course he could have used screenshots taken from a real P910 with a full-screen viewer on that P900.
However I'm one of the guys that always stated that it is possibile to use firmware of one SE UIQ model with another one if it can fit in flash (eg. P910 on a P900, P900 on a P800 and so on...)... that's because they all use the SAME HARDWARE with just a few improvements and nothing more. Since just like any development team the guys at SE should have used the SAME firmware base (main libraries) with just the few differences/new features included at compile-time it is possible with using the right equipment (SE Fighter) to flash their firmware and use a newer version.
Of course SE will never confirm this... they have no interest in telling the truth and they will always spread the voice that it is unpossible... just business. |

no i have only got 128mb because i never thought one above 128mb would be supported.
i see this as a good update, i may think about purchasing the new 262k screen. |

ok , tell me something. Once you have done it '900-to-910' - the way you have done it, can you
1. Go back to the 900 state - i mean can you re-baptise ur phone as 900?
2. Can you go on using the updates offered by SE for 910?
Or is it that you will be stuck with this 910on900 stuff.
Wat do you think?

i would think you can go back to 900 firmware because it is an update that is all. i wont be surprised when SE release the firmware for everyone to use. |

regarding the fighter software. If I had the software would the standard cable be Ok or do I need a dongle of some kind?
PS nice work! |

Forget it... the most important feature of a 910 is Duo Pro support ! Who really cares of that small keyboard or more colours on the display your eyes can hardly see ?
If P900 will support more memory in future P910 sales would drop down... so they will never release it for everyone. We must do it by ourself. |

I honestly hope that will happen. besides they won't gain anything if they don't offer a new FW, people will just get it someplace else. |

I will!!!!!
I mean, spending all that money developing P910a and all logistic associated with the launch of a new product and then just let people "upgrade" an old phone, not selling the new one?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!

ok, people are gonna do this anyway, i am happy to do this for free, and if duo pro is supported, which i think it will SE will have to do something.
i did this as an experiment and my findings are the p910 is a disgrace, i call the p910 a firmware update thats it. |

Using a 300Euros kit, getting illegal firmwares on P2P networks and most of all losing guarantee ?
Just a few people will do it ! |
