Hello everyone

I'm from Penang , Malaysia. Got my T68i from Singapore at RM1300

Soyabean, what do you think about the MAXIS's GPRS ? it does not cover majority of the area in Penang but I have no idea in KUL.

As CaTa why the data cable itself will cost quite a bomb. Why not subsribe to WAP or GPRS ? or you can even dial to your ISP Provider and download it through email. However if you still insist to get it, the cost the cheapest I think is RM 150. Majority of them will tell you that they don't have stock in hand.

Hi Tomlee,

For your information, GPRS is built on top of GSM structure. So where ever the GSM line is active, you will able to connect via GPRS.

Hi Guys,

You are rite, TomLee, I have search for several shop and there told me that if I want the SE data cable, they need to order from KL and the cheapest I found so far is RM 180.

Actually, what does the original package of T68i come with? I bought it at RM 1688 with the set, 1 batt, charger and a handfree with R1A SW tho I hv update it to R2A. Yesterday I went to BJ and one of the shop told me original package also comes with a data cable. Is that true?

I am using DiGi GPRS and I found it is not that stable and the GPRS signal is on and off frequently. If I loss the signal, I need to restart the phone to get back the signal. Has other services provider experience the same problem? or is just DiGi?

First of all, you can get the data cable for about RM 150 max from KL.
I doubt the original packing comes with a data cable, but you paid too much for your T68i. Could get it cheaper here in KL.

And yes, your problem is just with DiGi because I dont have that problem with Maxis GPRS. [addsig]

about my GPRS signal i think its quite ok for me...the signal always available when i need to use it..hehe...any useful wap site to introduce..??
btw i would rather go for the infrared port but not the data cable...cause the data cable can only support the t68i only..while the infrared can support many other phones...

I think DiGi GPRS service is not stable yet as I discover it drain my battery up very fast when I switch the phone connection to GSM & GPRS. I suppose the phone will auto search for the GPRS signal when it loss the signal and is very often l loss the DiGi GPRS signal.

In Penang, I bought at RM 1688 more than a month ago and is the cheapest and now it still sell at RM 1750. The set is from Southall.

tomlee, have u tried your gprs with your phone?

anyone, i have a question...

I have tried to use my digi gprs with my t68i which I bought from singapore. It can't work... The people at Digi told me that it's coz my phone is from singapore so it will not work coz of software incompatibility. And I can't upgrade to Malaysian software coz according to SE Malaysia, they said that will kill my phone coz local software is made for local sets.... aren't the phones all the same?.... wat the heck??

Has anyone tried using their phone (from other countries) with GPRS hrer in malaysia?

anyone please help me! It's really depressing becaue of this....

I am using S'pore T68i in Malaysia. both Digi & Maxis works like a charm.. Dun let the Digi ppl fool you, Malaysia is such a small market. it is impossible to even have a tweak version of T68i for Malaysian only.

For Digi, in the APN, type in "Diginet"

I tried that and everything else. They say it might be my software being old. I'm still using R2B. Don't have time to go down to singapore to upgrade. Can you gimme your settings for GPRS? Then i can see if i went wrong anywhere. Thanks!

If your SIM still cant use GPRS on your friend's T68i, do this :

GO TO A DIGI CENTER AND ASK THEM TO ACTIVATE IT ! IT IS NOT AUTOMATIC !! THEY WILL FILL IN A FORM AND TELL YOU TO WAIT FOR TWO HOURS BEFORE U CAN USE IT !! GET IT ? I WAS FRUSTRATED FOR A WHOLE DAMN MONTH, GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES I HAD TO RESET MY PHONE !!!

DO AS I SAY AND U WILL BE REWARDED !!

Ps: I am shouting !!
