10 true reasons to avoid buying a K700 |

@bacanito
Well, note, it's my personnal opinion about the K700 - some of the listed point are subjective, some other not. It was funny to write these 10 points, and it's even more funny to read people answering. Sure I know that the K700 is not a digital camera, but SE is selling it like that (one face to shoot, the other face to call). Sure I know that the K700 is not a MP3 player, but admit that Sony Ericsson claims the K700 to be one. Yes I did used all the other phone referenced in my post.
But don't take it too seriously, guys! When I read some posts, it seems like some SE users have developed such an emotional relationship with their phone, that make them unable to have any objective and intelligent judgement, I refer here to some very agressive answers. You know, it's a little bit like some Apple users, if you see what I mean |

@ Silex
You did unfortenately not express your 10 points as a personal opinion. But rather as facts and claimed you know what others would feel and like, which is indeed very strange.

You got it wrong there. To be a camera and to mimic one are two completely different things. What SE say is that K700 back face look and feel like a camera (not that is or replaces one).

Have not seen such claims anywhere. What has been said is that it has MP3 capabilities. But that is a different thing as well.

I had a feeling that this phone is not perfect and has many flaws. Thank god for Nokia quality. I have a nokia 3200 loaded with features and java apps like internet explorer. Its a great phone. Thanks for the warning you make sense.

well i just upgraded from a 7250i to the k700i and i must say that the improvement is worth it, im in love with this phone, it has all the features that i need and the battery life is better then my 7250i and the camera is a million times better, after being such a nokia fan for so long it feels so nice to look at such a nice phone rather then the same phone redesigned, well heres to sony ericsson cheers!! |

As has been mentioned before, it would appear that Silex is winding us up with this thread, and he knows it. We are all rising to the occasion (myself included) but this thread serves no useful purpose anymore.
I repeat my earlier request for the moderators to lock this thread.

every phones have flaws, they are not designed to create a monstrous purpose to anybody whose capable of having one.. lets just thank all the cell phone makers that they indeed make the trend of the mobile units a boundless creation to express every individual's personality (or preference), if you're not appreciative enough to see what's beyond.. then make yourself one..
if i hadn't assembled myself, i would've fall apart by now.. |

I think the OP should change the title of this thread to "10 true reasons why I would avoid buying a K700". That would make more sense.

You missed a few:
Oh and also if you're a PC user, it isn't as good as a PC.
If you're a coffee drinker, it doesn't make coffee.
If you're a dog lover, it doesn't replace the affection and loyalty of a real a dog.
Its not claiming to be better than a single-function gadget - smart phones are a good few years away from retiring dedicated mp3 players or camers yet. |

@eskay, you have what? A 3200? And compare it to the k70 0? Lol - thats the biggest joke of the year, even bigger than the "10 reasons..." :-)

I think some SE fans go overboard in defending the K700. I think every product should hv some acceptable merchantability before going into market.
Saying it is OK that, battery life only 20% of claimed and hanging while calling, is bit too much.
As K700 is not smartphone (i.e. no user meddling with phone internal operations), blaming the users for the problems are not justifiable.
Even the much maligned 6600/SX1 smartphone do not have have such problems in their vanilla state.
