Well i'm not sure of u guys hav been into the General discussions of the International areas but there are alot of problems apparentally with it.
Its much better to get info about the phone there because guys over there have had it for quite a while now. Bugs i have read from over there with the firmware software R2A041 is that:
1. battery meter is either inaccurate or the battery dies realy quick (12 hrs.)
2. there is some sort of lag on the phone, just say the same with a
computer, 2-7secs.
3. The phone will sometimes reset itself for no reason.
4. Weird stuff happens, just say ur in the camera mode and then the phone just goes blank white and then back to normal or it resets itself
5. in the phone book, a number will get deleted.
Either way u shouldn't be worried about the price so much rite now, instead see if ur buying the phone with the latest software, R2E-something |

Does anyone know when Optus would be bringing out this phone? I have searched around Adelaide, and none of the Optus Shops have them, nor an ETA. Telstra Shops do not have them either. Seems like I can only get from online from B or their distributors. |

Well i'm not so sure about the adelaide guys but most of my Perth stores have them already.
If i'm correct i think that Adelaide gets their stock before Perth.

When I enquired about it yesterday at the Optus Shop, I was told it would be a month before they receive it. None of the Telstra Shops have them. It seems only Vodafone and FoneZone have them. |

Hi, i know this is off topic. But i'm just wondering, can i send email from my phone if i'm using Optus Prepaid ? |

Um i'm not too sure whether the email is dependant on the service provider. I think if ur phone can send emails then u can, or maybe i'm wrong. Not too sure, what prices hav u guys got or been offered for the K700.
PS. just got to the optus web site, dont waste it in here |

Its not dependant on your provider. You just need to have an existing pop or imap email account and access to the gprs 'internet' profile from your telco. I've verified that this works on an optus and vodafone prepaid account. If you search the forums i'm sure you'll get help on how to set email up.

I'm using Vodafone and the MMS and GPRS working fine. Try to obtain T610's setting from Vodafone web site.. otherwise you can call up to Vadafone customer service, they might send u T610's setting as well IF the setting for K700 is still not available,

You can send the settings to yourself via the Sony Ericsson site.
Choose your region...Goto Support, then Phone setup.
From here, choose your phone and what u want sent and your network.. I've done it for both my T610 and K700. Nokia has a similar service.
If you call Vodafone customer service.....they will load send the settings vis the SE website anyways.... |

don't get me wrong i hav been to the virgin website. but it doesn't say anything about when it will be possible to set up the GPRS for the virgin people.
BTW THIS IS AUSTRALIA.
so does anyone know when it will be able to and is GPRS needed for the downloading new wallpapers and ringtones? |

The SE Website has settings for Australian Virgin Mobile too. Check it out.
You choose region then it populates the major service providers. You may need to activate GPRS on your virgin mobile sim...from there you setup your phone?
try sending the setup files to your phone off the SE website, see how you go. |
