To clarify, Image Interpolation means... how a 'program' calculates the pixels to match the image size.

When a regular 640x480 image is bumped up to 1024x768, the interpolation (algorithm) calculates a pixel's neighbor in the original image and adds or subtracts (say 5 or more) pixels at the surrounding pixel to fill and match the desired color and image dimensions. [addsig]

Who ever said the K700 isnt supposed to be used as an Mp3 player is particially wrong. Remember the equalizer screen, bass boost etc.
Its not likely that SE (the masters of the world) would include an equalizing function for MP3 ringtones.
Think about it!

32MB is not correct, it is ~41MB for your own usage.
I own one so I know.

I just read the support menu under Frequently asked questions:

"I can not use the zoom when in camera mode?
When you can use the zoom is depending on what picture size you've selected. When the zoom functionality is available a magnifying glass appears in the top of the display. Use the navigation key, up/down, to zoom.
Camera:
1280x960 pixels (Extended) - Zoom is not available
640x480 pixels (VGA) - Zoom is not available
320x240 pixels (QVGA)- 2x zoom
160x120 pixels (QQVGA) - 4x zoom
Video:
176x144 pixels - 2x zoom
128x96 pixels - 4x zoom"

I think itīs strange that you canīt zoom when in vga resolution? Not like a care but anyway now itīs confirmed that it will include a interpolation mode. 1280Ī960(extended)!!! Then it probably is true that the memory is 41 mb!!

McKinley already said that but now we really know!

yeah sure but as we know this firmware is almost identical to z1010 and it's probably going to be the same with F700, so why would se demolish a feature like that? i mean why some would probably use it for a mp3 song one or two, so why would they let it out if it's already in z1010? it doesn't cost them a thing if they include it but cmon! k700 as a mp3 player! even p900 isn't good at that with the 128 mb limit! who in the world would use k700 then?!? better to buy an ipod if you ask me.....

Yes, but for a handful of Mp3's the K700 will be amazing. I havent tried converting my music to AAC format yet, but if you can get a 6mb MP3 to about 1mb AAC with no loss of sound quality...

Im so excited !

K700 won't replace my iPod but it'll be nice to take a handful of my favourite MP3s with me when I don't want to take the iPod with me for a night on the town.

What good are mp3s on a night out? I would be fully happy with an iPod...

Really, you can get tracks down to 1mb with aac. That means you could fit an album on with space for other stuff. And to all those who keep saying buy a ipod. Not everyone can afford whereas you could get a k700 free with a contract
