Boyi I canīt se why SE would not release it before the S700. Itīs totally different phones. S700 will still be a better phone specs wise and the screen is MUCH bigger and better than the one on F700. I donīt think SE can wait longer. Their will soon be many dangerous rivals on the market. SE canīt just stand there and se their market position weaken.

I think they will compete for different market shares:
F700 is "classy" and small, I guess
S700 is "bigger" and very complete
K700 will be a more "popular" model
Am I wrong? |

F700 presented in early september and released sometime in late october early november.
And no SE wonīt release MANY phones this year. But they will release one amazing 3G phone and to be honest I dont think P900 layla will ever hit the market. Together with Z500 and one other phone. low end.

P900 layla will ever hit the market. It was only a concept.

I think Sony is doing a good job. But yes they should get more money.
Iīm glad P900 Qwerty wont come out in europe. It wouldnt sell much. The construction is very poor and uncomfortable.

I would reaaly like to se some pics of this F700. But on the other hand I hope that no more Info will leak out from SE. The T610 was a surprise and a big hit for SE, if info had leaked out other brands would have cpoied it. Do itīs very important that they manage to keep it quite. Itīs enough bad that we know it will be named F700.
And if someone manages to find a pic of this F700, I relly hope he wont post it. Help SE to surprise!

If you look at the site that lists approved Bluetooth devices (cant remember where it is, sorry!) there is a T7xx series listed under SE |

Here we go. Now we have seen the Nokia 6230i. The main competitor of F700. It will hit the market in late august. That means more than two months before the F700. SE has to hurry up. There is still no final product or prototype of F700. As SE is still developing and testing. They want to present it 9:th september as I said before. But when will hit the market?? We know itīs before christmas. but how long before? competiotion in this section will be hard in the end of this year. And K700 isnt enough. So they better hurry up =)
Z500: Now confirmed for release in september. Remember it wont replace Z200 or Z600. Itīs just one middle model. New 3g hanset is on its way. And replacement of Z600. F500/K500 you have already heard about.

I talked to a guy responsible for the testing and he said that there is going to be released a new smartphone this year.
His team had begun to work on another phone so there is a ready phone. Maybe that's Layla? |

hmmm could be that layla. But honestly I cant SE how SE is going to succeed with a qwerty keyboard on a p900. It would be very annoying and uncomfortable. Instead of this they should begin working on P1010.
F1000 series should hit the market in March 2005.
But itīs to early speaking of that when Z1010 isnt even out everywhere yet.
