hey, please don't fight about who's better...
nokia may have an advantage from a marketing point of view but when it comes to quality, i believe, no, i know that SE is the one to be trusted. ever wonder why nokia has phones like 3310, 3330, 3350, and 3390? because the earlier versions are simply prototypes of the newer models. this is n*k*a's marketing strategy; they do not test their mobile phones! they just make a prototype and put it in the market as the final product. if there's any problem with the product, all they have to do is get feedback from the people who bought it and then make a model with a different name (or number) and put it out in the market again as a new product. this may sound bad but it is just marketing. business is business. n*k*a can do this as long as there are people who fall for it.
on innovations...
the t68 and t68i have been in the market for ages way before the 7650, or any other n*k*a smartphone, for that matter. the t68 and t68i had ir, bluetooth, a colored screen (256k), 5-way joystick, grid menu, and attachable camera. when the 7650 came out, big surprise... it had ir, bluetooth, a colored screen (4,096k), 5-way joystick, grid menu, and built-in camera. big surprise indeed.
at any rate, there is no need to fight about who's better. to each his own, right?
and to me? SONY ERICSSON.

I tend to believe that banning might be a bit harsh. Furthermore, he is indeed entitled to his own opinion, and some arguments invoked by Malinda are correct.
Fact remains, however, that Malinda has proven to be a hypocrite. I don't know how many of you remember Malinda - he had a period of absence of about 3 months - but I do, and I'm sure vlam & masseur do as well (back to the time when he was a de facto moderator  ). Back then, Malinda was SE all over. He was terrorizing Esato ON A DAILY BASIS with questions regarding the launch of new models. I kid you not. In the early morning of one SE press conferences during which new phones were to be launched, Malinda started a thread expressing his anger that the phones where yet not available on the SE website (the conference wasn’t to start for about 3 or 4 hours).
Now what you, Malinda (and your buddy Flying Finn and the like) do not understand, is that we all very well understand the current situation of SE (they are a no longer even in the top 5 manufacturer, phones have become a bit pricy, software updates needed on a regular basis, etc.). Yet SE are still able to deliver quality, exciting and innovating new phones. Therefore, they deserve our LOYALTY. We won't run away just because company X is launching a new phone with better specs. Your current attitude matches my previous statement. And that, Sir, makes you a coward and a hypocrite! |
