When the last firmware was put on the site, they had these notes:
CDA-number: CDA162003/3
Organiser version: R2B02
Improved sound quality in Office handsfree mode.
Updated Java support MIDP2 - MIDlet signed against Verisign certificate.
Improved capitalization in T9, now capitalizing characters properly.
Enhanced handling of accessories, Bluetooth headset, HBH-200, displays name and phone number of incoming caller.
The Clock screen saver digits has been enlarged for better visualization.
Find function in e-mail application has been improved.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The fact that there are no notes yet for the updated 162003/1 firmware is what made me guess that the information is in the process of being updated.

Upgrade performed. Process worked smoothly. Took about half an hour (1 Mbps line). Last 18 minutes was PC upgrading phone. First 12 minutes was downloading and installing of the update program and downloading of the phone update.
Before the upgrade my system info was
Phone CXC162022 R3C006
Bluetooth CXC12529 R5D
Organizer CXC162021 R2B02
CDA CDA162003/1 R2B01
After the upgrade the Organizer has changed to CXC162021 R3A06 and the CDA has chenged to 162003/1 R3B01.
What the upgrade actually does is still to find out

Hey guys, does anyone know if there is any plans to allow users of CDA162004/3 (ie Orange Users) to update their firware the the new version? as I still have R1C01, or is this another case of Orange want to check the software is comatible sh*t? |

@bob-
Doubt it m8. They'd have to get Orange's permission before they could allow that. So if Orange can't confirm that their phones are upgradable online then chances are they still won't be able to.

No upgrade available yet for my phone version. Would someone who has updated like to check this:
In the Calendar application, set an appointment with an alarm for a few minutes in the future.
Turn off the phone, then turn it back on.
Don't open the Calendar app, and see if the alarm will sound.
With R2B02, the alarm will not sound. You have to open the Calendar app after restarting the phone in order for the the alarms to get activated. |

I turned the phone off and then on. Did not open the Calender. Guess what I heard?
Yes, the alarm sound.
I suggest that you try it in your phone. The default setting for the alarm is 10 minutes before the appointment. You can change that to 1 minute and higher.

@pi314 -
I don't think the alarm phenomenon was an inadequacy of R2B02 version because I just tried it (R2B02) and the alarm sounded as soon as I rebooted as well. I think you might have had a personal hicup with your P900. I'm mostly interested in finding out whether BT improvements have been made. The last reported release notes for R2B02 did state the the organizer portion of the phone had an influence on BT.

I think Luc- has 162003/1 because that's the only one approved for online upgrades at the moment.
