I broght my T610 to SE Service today to update R4C003 and found out SE is charging for this firmware update at 15 euro!!
Is this normal for firmware? What a ripoff if this pricing is global!
Does anyone have paid for just updating firmware?
I could not believe it.

if you really don't have any problems with your phone the servicepoint has the right to charge you for the update. €15 is quite cheap, here in Sweden it costs around €30. |

I beileve firmware upgrade are free if under 1 yr warranty, isn't it ??

both yes and no... the policies of free upgrades are a bit different depending on the country you are in. In some countries, Sweden for example, some servicepoints requires that there is something wrong with the phone to perform a upgrade under warranty, otherwise you have to pay for it. |

You can just say the phone often hangs or something, so they won't charge u for upgrade ! Haha !

At my SE service point I could get my phone flashed free if I'd wait three days, or get it done in half an hour for 15 EUR.

For my T610, I got R4D001 CXC125599 EU6 updated
in Athens Greece.
They say the newest.
To be honest I don't see any difference
especially when I am testing Mobile Agent!
