Ok T_Virus, it's very important that you install PBTM before installing the Phone Monitor (Package 5 for T68i) and then finally edit the ini-file. I've sent the ini-file to you (T_Virus@netcom.no) so just copy paste.

just a note to everyone the file is ecsmca.ini file.

you might get frustrated trying to find something that is not there.

apologies to everyone, thanks to tarzenlarsen for correcting me.

Just a not to everyone. The file IS an .ini-file (NOT .inf). I don't know which program GOwin is using, but it can't be PBTM.

Can't we find out about this thing about the ini-inf file.
Is it a Inf file or is it a Ini file?

Guys,

I was in the process of updating my Phone directory changing the numbers to international format, removing duplicate entries and combining the numbers of one person (home, mobile, work etc..) using the PBTM Software.

I would edit a few and then synchronize with the phone to update the changes made. All was going well and did this about 5 times today.

Now, after a few changes, the software wont synchronize. It says Phone book failed, SIM ok. Anybody know how to resolve this?

I am using a T39 FWR2B and SWR2M.

TIA

Paul. I have the same MA USB Data cable but can't seem to get it to work with my T68i. It only works with the Mobile Action Handset Manager that came in the package but not with any of the Ericsson programs. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Hi there,

I got a problem with my PBTM software. The software sees my T68i alright. But, after the successful syncronization, NO phone entries displayed for both my phone and my SIM card. I tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling the PBTM and Package 4. The problem is still there.

Could anyone give me some advise on how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Hello all,

I'm trying to use Phone Book and Text Message Manager (ver 2.0.183) to edit my T68i phonebook on my laptop running Windows 2000, but I while I can sync (using IR) and the contacts are added to ecsmca.xml, I can't see, much less edit them in the program.
Any help with this problem would be great, thanks.

btw. I took a look at fma-0.09.7a too, but unfortunately you can only edit the contacts on the sim-card, not those in the phone memory.

btw2. GOwin, I did use the search before posting the other thread, but found nothing that solved the problem

@Marcus Wendel
well, i'm glad you did

anyway, i've given up on PBTM a long time ago. i now use the XTNDconnect with outlook and/or the backup utility from christersson.org.

you can edit the entries that the backup utility creates, and upload that to the phone - but it's tedious.

GOwin,

I don't use Outlook for mail, so it seems somewhat overkill to use it only for editing the contacts for my phone, but prehaps I should give it a try.

I hope fma will get editing functions soon.

I'm trying to use this program with my T300.

The same prob with blank phone-sms book after sync

I'm close to the solution , but I need a file that I can't find in my installation.

In ecsmca.ini there is a section called [TEMPLATES] with the following lines:

"TemplatesFileName=\data\templates.dat
Category=office
Name=Work 5"

I can't find templates.dat.

Please if anyone can mail this file to me....

I'll post back any solution
