T610 and HBH-30 crackle noise problem |

The reason SE wont admit this is a hardware fault is because it will cost them money to fix it! They would sooner fudge over the problem with a dodgey software fix that costs peanuts compared to a Hardware fix.
I sent SE a 3 page email ranting about this problem and the crap service I received from Celestica! Since I received my phone back from them, several of the buttons really creak now! But i'm not going to send it back again because it will be another 3 weeks before i get it back.
In the email I sent SE I've asked it they have resolved this issue on later manufactered models, or are they just impletmenting the software upgrade only as a work around
If this problem has not been solved on latered manufactured phones with a hardware fix i'm going to return my phone and get a Seimens SX1 instead. Has anyone got / seen one of these phones? If so what are they like? Are they any good?
It's a shame, I've been a Ericsson fan for the last 5 years, but since Sony have teamed up with them, they have gone right down hill!

Today, I look on T-Mobile US website, and it is shown here
Where did you find a message stating it is removed from sale? |

I've just spoke to the Muppets on the SE help desk, and basically they told me that the HBH-30 is 'not very compatible' with the T610, i need the HBH-35. So I said fine, my HBH-30 is only 4 months old, so will they swap it out, and they said no!
They said that there will be NO hardware fix to the T610 as the RL1 firmware upgrade is sufficient. Basically I've got to live with the problem, and they will do nothing about it!!
I'm gonna ditch my T610, write to customer complaints, Watch Dog, The citizens Advice Bureau and Trading standards!
The is the end of the line for my Ericsson relationship! Why the hell did they team up with a micky mouse outfit like Sony??? |

I own a HBH-35 and it crackles too. Before you buy one, try it. It seems to show the same problems as the HBH-30.
Today I have updated the firmware on my T610 and it is much better, but there's still some occasional crackle and echo left. For headset sound quality I give it 6 points out of 10.
Hearing that the Jabbra won't solve it the problem either I will probably live with it. I do like the HBH-35 ergonomics, the long battery time and the fact that the charger is the same as the T610. |

I have the T610 Week 24 and a HBH-35 and I have the crackle, I am extremely annoyed at this whole situation and especially the Customer Service or lack of it from Sony Ericsson. |

I've just finished writing a 5 page letter to Sony ericssons customer complaints department.
I strongly suggest that everyone who has this problem does the same. If enough people make noise about it they will have to take action. The problem with telephoning their customer services department is that the call is not logged.
So come and join me in voicing our complaints
The address you need to write to is as follows........
Sony Ericsson Customer Complaints Department

Everyone that has a crackle could you also check if there's an echo on the other side of the line? On my side there is no echo at all, but the guy/girl you are calling hears one.
It's not as bad after the firmware upgrade, but it is still there and not what I expect from my expensive T610 & HBH-35.
Or am I the only one having this problem?

i had the crackle on 610 and hbh30. resolved by rl1 from the CPW. funny someone mentioned the echo - i sometimes get this on the phone ear piece as well as on the BT headset.....
BTW why did SE remove automatic from the BT menu. used to be really usefull on the t68 as didnt need BT on permanently to use HBH30. |

Just got a hbh-60... And yes. .I have the problem too..
I called SE stupid helpdesk, and he told me they didn't know of any problem with the bluetooth. And he told me to send my handset in. But my handset is already upgraded..
Does anyone have any solution`yet? |

Luckily for me the crackling has stopped with new firmware!! Good grief.. no more frying bacon in the background and ThreeX is once more a happy camper!
Oh, and the echo thing.. i have experienced that every now and then since -97 with several different phones, i hear my own voice, sometimes lagging almost a word after.. never taken it that seriously though, since it has happened once a year maybe and in different places.
