u can easily check the production date at the back of the phone. just be look out for this 03W2? but i have came across some phone with a sticker covering the date also. so b sure urs are not!!
i think for those who wanna buy from Ericserve, u better give them a call 1st. anyway just FYI, this is d number: 03-79573922 u can refer to this MR.CHONG for any puchases. hope it helps. good luck

i got it from a shop in Jln. Ampang somewhere in the 1st week of May.
it doesnt matter liao where i bought it!!! all the 1st batch set will sure have that hissin problem 1. |

SE Fans...sure I'll update. I'm tempted to just buy the 03w22 batch as some people said that *most* of the units are okay, whereas the w23 batch is *all* okay.
kucibubu...it doesn't matter where you buy because Ericserve will repair or replace defective units bought from anywhere in Malaysia. But I suppose you have to chose where you buy because from my experience not all sellers know when you ask them about "hissing problem" or even "production week".
psycho & markng...since both of you have had this phone for quite a while now, what's the average battery life? thx

Novell : Battery life? Max 3 days on very light usage. If heavy usage, I would say 1.5 days or less.
Ok..not SE related but I just say the new Sagem phone..I don't know the model but its the one that ppl have been comparing with T610.
I didn't get to use it but I have to say it looks not bad at all. In fact, the screen is better than the T610 ( I believe its TFT). I asked the guy how much is it and he says RM1.7K.. which is more exp.. But since u guys haven't bought your T610 yet, no harm giving it a look before making up your mind.

Good news guys, the 03w23 is out!!!
That's right, I went to KLCC today and saw it with my own eyes. I didn't buy it because the price was RM1799 non-negotiable. If that shop has the w23, that means other shops must have it too (or very soon). I can buy a lot things with the RM200 difference.
markng...re: battery life, that's not very long....hmm. By the way, I will check out the new sagem. Do you know which model it is? |

kucibubu...Its the handphone shop next to Sony Wings, one floor below Kinokunia. And I'm going to buy as soon as I find a shop that sells w23 for RM1599 or less.
markng...the specs look impressive, but first impression its pretty big, almost the same size and weight of my old nokia 3110. I'm reading some of the reviews right now.

well people... after reading thru all your posts regarding the ill-fated T610... i'm in a dilemma. after SE announced the T610 beginning of this year, i thought to myself... it's the 'ONE' phone i must get... and yea i did, got it first week of June eventhough i heard of all the problems that plagued this marvellous phone... i was willing to fork out RM1700 for the phone and live with all of it's 'imperfections'...
personally i find it to be a phone that lived up to most of its hype. cept the hissing part, the limited memory, bluetooth crackling and now the flickering screen problems.
well my problem is... should i replace the phone? we all know that not all problems are sure to be fixed but the new batch from w23 should get the hissing and the crackling fixed. after using the phone for 12 days i don't really find the hissing a big prob and i've got no crackling problems with my hbh-30. basically i don't have any complaints bout the phone. so to replace or not to replace? that is the question... |

y would ericserve replaces it anyway ? ..emm
probalaly .. they will just do a audio recalibration ..
and u are left with ..a "softer" phone

I think the Sagem My-X6 has got to be ugliest phone I come across. I was at KLCC and they were demoing there....yuks. no where can compare to SE T610. And even the girls promoter there also aiyah no so nice looking wan...like SE. 
what screen problem does the T610 has now? oh no....

sin_Heartless: if ya phone is ok..plz dont send it to Ericserve. u will regret it.
u guys know what? there are already 3 imei numbers written in my warranty card liao and the problem hasnt been fixed yet? |
