Personally I love the design ... its got class man especially the silver casing .. U sure u guys like Siemens phones which look like Eggs to me or Nokia new phones which are totally unegornomical (3650,7210,3530) or lets not talk about Samsung cos they jus flipping phones ... T610 is very Vertu design like with all that features in the phone makes it a very good replacement for the T68i ... Classy yet with the brains ! |

the design is absolutely beautiful, its very simple, elegant and classy, minimalistic, this phone definitely has style and class, how can you say this is ugly??? this phone is damn nice, the black and aluminum version looks the best and when will this phone be available in the US cause I'm definetly gonna buy this, say hi to my future girlfriend... |

Okay guys, thank you for posting in this poll. After 2 days, guess I have to put a close to it. That means, I will not be updating the votes anymore after this. So if you still continue to post, I will not be adding up any more scores.
As it is now:
Love the T610 - 28
Hate/dislike - 18
Dunno - 4
Summary:
Frankly, I was really hoping that more people will like the design of this new phone (like I do). Judging from the score so far, 61% the people (excluding the "Dunno" category) love the design wheras 39% are not. I will not say that this is an overwhelming result. 39% constitute a big percentage!
Analysing the group who feel adverse to the new phone design, a large part of them are actually T68/i sentimentalists; who felt that the T68/i still holds that special "x" factor in design, and they felt dissappointed that the successor has not such factor, mainly the absense in the "curves". The rest just simply do not like "boxy" design.
For those who love the design, we are all more open to Sony's influence in their boxy design. I am particularly glad that quite a few of us are owners of T68/i (judging from the icon above their names) whom, I believe, had waited patiently for SE's successor to their beloved T68/i.
As I had mentioned at the beginning, one man's meat is another man's poison... our tastes differ... design appeals differently to people. But from time to time, there comes a design so dynamic that it just overwhelms the majority. A classic example would be our beloved T68/i. But in the case of the T610, as this poll shows, does not reach that level. IMO, neither the top-notch P800.
Maybe and hopefully, time will prove this results wrong. But for me, it will be my next phone...
Once again, thanks all... |

I have never seen a Mercedes looking like a f**ing chocolate bar with no curves whatsoever?? MAybe they look different in your country?
Volvo on the other hand did during a long period look like (and in fact was referred to as) The S-tank. I donīt know if you have seen one, but it looked like a caterpillar dumpster.
Itīs pretty pointless discussing taste and preference but i will never buy a phone that doesnīt appeal to me visually, and the new SE-line fails miserably to do that. If you like it - fine, knock yourself out and buy them all if you like as long as you leave others taste up to them. |

HAHAHAHAA!!! I agree here... Once, when was still Ericsson... they had designs that would fit perfectly in an S-class benz, or M-Roadster. Now, well... I feel fits in a Mitsubishi Evolution VII. Still a great car... but not as classy as it COULD be.
Funny though, Volvo and SE seem to be moving in opposite directions... Ericsson had more curves at a time when Volvo was known as the fridge w/ a badge. Now, the new Volvos have more curves, and SE looks like a chocolate bar that belongs in the fridge w/ the badge! |
