Flagship batteries stretch 24 hrs?
I agree with cool_sauce. Making low end phones has never done Sony any favours. They can never sell enough to make the small profits worthwhile.

One of many gossips this year was about making only 5G devices.
Another reason to kill L.
Would be nice a device between 10iii and 5iii.
Something like €450-470.

5G alone can't save Xperia. That price bracket is close to last years flagship territory. Sony's good phones are not affordable, affordable ones aren't good. They need something like Pixel 4a or S20FE to sell more. IF they want to sell more. And their update policy is too old by now. No mention of 3 years for 1ii-5ii.

Ppl that do not read about tech do not care about having new android version.
How many know the OS is called android?
I know many that use iphone, one person knows OS is called iOS.
Pixel 4a is not doing well as pixel 3a.
Pointless to have better cpu if rest is crap.
1 camera, smaller battery, plastic, no ip, no sd slot etc ...
And costs more than 10ii.

Pixel only gets much mention in US tech blogs alongside Apple and Samsung. If you read those websites you would think Pixel sells almost as much as the other two but the truth is they sell less than Xperia, or did sell less two years ago (not sure about current numbers). So there is a disparity between sales numbers and mentions in articles. I don't know nothing about 4A, haven't ever even seen the phone but I doubt it's better buy than 10II unless you really crave HDR snapshots of landscape, foliage and architecture. If you are at least semi-serious and have basic knowledge in photography you know 27mm is useless for portraits unless you are fine with deformed head shapes. 10II at least has 52mm telephoto for such thing, yeah it's junk of an 8mp sensor but focal length is better suited for headshots. |

Google sells 2x than Sony.
They claim about bit more than 7 mi units sold in 2019.
Mostly 3a.
Main cam of 10ii has weaker hardware than selfie used by XA Ultra.
It is 1/2.8". Giant downgrade from imx300 of previous generations (XA series).
I hope flagships bring new main exmor, so they give 557 to 10iii.

Binary code calculator has translated it into: 4096, 512, 256, 128, 8.
Yes or No?
- 8GB ram
- 128/256/512GB storage
- 4096 x 2160 video (4K DCI)

thanks Hawk!
do you think it's possible that 4096 is about screen resolution or even battery capacity? |

My guess is about 4K DCI recording.
Also used in movie industry.
It is 17:9 ..

It's most likely a screen resolution, if you've paid attention there was some Sony with 5K displays running benchmarks while back. Other thing is that no affordable Sony cameras or camcorders can record in DCI4K, they all do QFHD instead. If you remember that chart where it shows Xperia below RX and if that's something Sony will stand by then there should be no real DCI4K recording. Mind you that RX100/ZV-1, α7RIV nor dedicated camcoders such as PXW-Z90 all the way up to PXW-FS5M2 can't do DCI4K. The cheapest dedicated camcorder that can do DCI4K is PXW-FS7M2 |
