I would respect Eldar, even tho most of the ppl here hate him cuz of the way he writes. Obviously none of us like it when some one writes something negatively about something we like. Just wanted to say that.
And imo, n8 looks promising, and would probably switch back to symbian next year(currently with htc desire). It does seem to be useable and very good at multimedia. The more i see n8, the more i am liking it

OK my view is whilst it seems a good overall improvement in usability,fluidity & much more upto date in terms of performance & features. The Nokia interface still looks so boring them icons whilst I know it does not really matter,they look so old dull & dated now. I do wish this camera was on a different OS. That's my view

You are aware that Symbian is totally customisable with themes that can change the icons to anything you wish. You can download different icons.

I reckon that the icons through menu's should be rotatable so that one side is standard symbian icons and the other can be any downloaded style of icon...maybe not. Lol.

My son just bought himself an N8 to replace his 5800 from the Nokia site. He went through quidco and so its costing him a little over 350. I'm waiting to see how it is and I could even be tempted by this one myself as it looks like one smart phone (pun intended)
The latest Phones Show podcast I watched recently gives a good insight into the N8 (skip over the Motorola flip if thats not your thang!)

This is the best camera phone on the market now it takes stunning pics. I just wish it was not Symbian but saying that it does look more promising than ever before in terms of usability & speed
