No i have not seen them. You know its hard times with the recession around the world and my sister in law from Wellington has found it hard getting money together to go back and visit family. We are hoping for our inheritance from Ireland soon so she can go. I know my brother her and their kids will move back there someday permanently. I shall visit too It looks so beautiful there. Sorry edit i just noticed the link never spotted it before. Yes very nice photos dreaming of warm sunshine now

The days are drawing ever closer for me. Im determined to stick to my new years resolution which i decided on way back in October that i would start eating healthly and get more exercise. So im slowly weaning myself off the junk foods and ready for the complete cut off come 1st Jan.

Hope you're back to tip top condition Bon, and everyone had a good Christmas.

Well have you ever noticed that if you eat junk like McDonalds not long after you feel hungry again. Its because its not nutritious to your body. Drinking lots of water makes you feel full between meals too. Stick to it i am

Not for me. I tend to have a big mac meal, and then 3 hamburgers after it. Greedy i know, but it keeps me satisfied long after.

But i dont just mean junk food like muckdonalds. Anything you buy can be classed as junk food. For example where i work theres a nice sandwich shop across the road. I used to have cheese salad sandwiches from there. But then i realised they butter the bread heavily and use full fat cheese. So it might seem like a healthy option compared to getting a burger but often theres just as much saturated fat in there than there would be in something like a mcdonalds.

2 days to go for me, then the big effort to eat healthy starts. I'll be taking more packed lunches to work, when i dont i'll be buying food which is only good for me and keeping off the snacks. I cannot drink too much water however as i dont really get too much time for toilet breaks !

Yeah water goes right through me but makes me feel full for a while. I have the odd treat like half a subway i like them and they are not really unhealthy. Good luck in your diet

Its not really a diet more a change of lifestyle. I turn 30 next year and dont want to end up paying for my greed as i get older. Its easier to change now.

Yes it has to be a permanent change of lifestyle. The word diet i guess is a word which is not used much now or rather should not be.

Here i am back again. My change of lifestyle seems to be good for me. I dont seem to be as tired as much as i used to be and feel slightly more detoxed. If there is such a thing.

Im no longer eating chocolate bars for breakfast lunch and dinner but proper food. In fact 10 days into the new year and ive only had 5 chocolate bars in that time. Thats one every two days. Before my lifstyle change i was eating 5 a day if not more. So by now i would have been up to 50 bars of chocolate. Scarey when you think about it that way !

So how are you Bonovox ?

Thanks I am well not too bad though I have been refered to see a specialist due to my blood pressure still erratic. I am watching my diet & taking my meds but its still not down to what it should be. Good for you keep it up. You will feel better & detoxing is not a myth. I knew someone who was doing a detox at work & he stank whilst he was doing it. All the crap coming out of his body & he even came out in spots. But once its all out toxins that are stored in the body from everyday life you feel great & more energised. I did once do it but I quit again too soon. If you eat the right foods your body is properly nourished not from rubbish food.

Heh, i wouldnt say im detoxing in that kind of way. Im just going on what it says on food packing whether it is good or bad for you, watching the portions i eat, not snacking but drinking water, and only having a treat every couple of days.

If that guy was stinking that makes me think hes taking things to force whatever it was out of him. It sounds quite horrific.

Well everyday things like pollution and chemicals in the food we eat(processed foods not fresh)they get stored in the fat cells. When they are released into the blood stream the are sweated out of the body through the pores so you smell. He was a smoker so not surprised. Eat as fresh and raw as much as you can its better. Also if you feel the need to snack plenty of fruit and veg is good to snack on with not so much fat. If i need something sweet i have grapes
