Mine used to restart a few times a day. Than I did start "phone repair" from PC Suite and that solved my problems. For now
But still, canīt install f...g MTP drivers on F...g Vista laptop. |

one of my minor funnies experienced is the 'make your icons evaporate'
Using the SE standby theme, have a photo wallpaper background, tab right to the picture scroller view. Then scroll rapidly up looking thru photos so that you see the refresh icon on the each photo. Do this a few times up and down as you would looking for a photo to web upload, as i do, and sooner or later if i go bck to the main screen something odd happens. I've had photo displacement, to blankscreens to backgrounds going green. Only way to solve it is to reboot. Not sure what else is might be going, maybe this just indicates a issue with the sandisk memory card.
This is minor compared with some self reboots and hangs. |

I had major issues with the Aino because the 8GB card it came with wasn't formatted properly. I forget its supposed capacity, but it was way too high. Like a fake memory card that's 512MB claiming to be 64GB or something!
It worked, but saving photos took AGES - up to 30 seconds - and I thought something had to be wrong. A quick copy of the card contents to my PC, format the card (in the phone) and restore the data had it all back up and running fine.
I've actually got a 16GB Sandisk card in my Satio now, which was also formatted on the device. It's always possible there was a bad batch of memory cards supplied - both the Satio and Aino got the same 8GB cards. Try formatting the memory card if you think this might be the case (after backing up, obviously).

Any battery issues?
In the last 3 weeks I had the phone die twice on me. Took it from the charger in the morning, picked it up in the afternoon to find the device unresponsive. Turn off... and then it doesn't turn on again. Thought it was f****d, but back home I connected it to the charger. Turned out the battery was completely empty.
Are there any apps that could drain all power in 8 hours when left on? (no wifi or bt was on by the way)

I set the alarm last night, went to bed around 0100. Woke up late, as alarm didn't go off, to see phone asking for PIN. It either rebooted when trying to do the backup at 0200 or when it wanted to trigger the alarm.
Entered PIN, THEN the alarm started to play.
Battery was on red, phone had switched off before I even got to work at 1000!
So, nothing was running (besides the scheduled alarm) and the phone wasn't even connected to the network for as long as it was asking for the SIM card PIN!

Hi,
my satio rebooted yesterday, but didn`t come alive again.
The only thing I saw was the white screen with the SE logo....
I also flashed the phone with the current firmware, but it didn't help.
Now my phone is on the way to SE.....
cheers

don't think this is a bug, I think sometimes it takes a second to unlock and if you are impatient you can hit the button againg effectivly locking it again before it opens lol
Do you experienced any Nokia 5800? You'll see that now, after some updates the unlock/lock key works immediatly. In the beginning, on the intial firmware, was just like Satio.
Is not a matter of being impatient or not... |

Yes, the Satio will fail to respond and if you've tried to unlock a few times - it will then lock/unlock/lock and so on.. very annoying. It may even blank the screen completely if you happened to rotate the screen slightly during this time.
Some of the delays are caused by certain apps not running all the time. If you quit them (or the phone quits them to save memory - not all are 'protected') then there's a noticeable delay while they load again. Ideally, things like Messaging, Clock, Contacts, Log and maybe Camera should be running so they start almost instantly.
I use Handy Taskman and can see when apps have quit, presumably to save/recover memory. I am guessing they shouldn't actually be quitting and this is why some people experience unnecessary delays.

@etaab ... mine does the unlock delay thing but only when I have autolock
enabled. If I use the side key only to do the locking there's no delay !!!
Mines R1BB041 / R1B017 as well, build 09W42.

Going on what jmcomms has described, it sounds like some peoples phone lag when unlocking the phone, then suddenlt catches up by unlocking, locking, unlocking and locking again.
Mine has never done this. The only thing mine does it wont unlock because my large mens fingers struggle to slide such a small thing to unlock the phone. But thats a problem with my chunky caveman hands rather than the phone itself.
