He has to defend S60, it's clearly very important.

Aww that's nice of you. Like what though? The only thing I actually got wrong is the Select Several option. Everything else was my opinion on the user experience. Because you like it better doesn't mean I was wrong to dislike the UI. You seem to be mistaking your own opinion for fact. You also didn't note I was right about the message tones either

Lol, you seem to be doing the very same thing then on top of that exaggarating some points as if they are a major train smash, as well as the apps part which you claimed the useful ones need to be paid for when they have loads of free alternatives.
Yep you were right about Message tones but when it comes to S60 theres always a solution out there, you also said SE was quicker which is certainly not true.

Again major LOL - Please actually read before posting! I said:

"I didn't find anything useful to install at all for my needs, and the more interesting apps you had to pay for"

Again, more useful FOR ME! This thread is entitled what I miss about , not what you like like about S60!

And yes, S60 is so amazing they'll be a solution for message tones...oh wait no there isn't. Google it. No solution exists for the message or alarm tones. You have to scroll through every single music file on the phone each time. Is that why S60 is so fast? The idea behind S60 is great, but the UI makes the most simple things like that longer to do.

You said you can get everything quicker than A200 through a Search App. I don't need a search app on my phone because I can get to everything I use the most in 1 click. Media, Contacts, Messaging, File Manager, Alarms, Opera Mini, Call Log and Camera. These are what I use my phone for, and as far as I'm concerned, they are all better than the S60 versions for my needs when I use them. And to be honest, if your phone UI needs a Search Engine, it's Menu System has failed.

And what have I exaggerated about? I found the versions of apps better than the Nokia ones, simple as! I even said in the very first post of the thread (again, reading would be nice!) that I was nitpicking, but that's the way I am!
But you can install new ones you say, great!
Who gives a monkeys? I don't want to go looking for new apps, when I can use a system that has them ready right from the word go.

If you love S60 that's great, but to call me clueless because I don't agree with you, shows the real level of your argument here. But thanks again

Marty
I said it before AND il say it again, with S60 theres always away, i just Googled: Message Tones S60v3 and immediatly found the app CALLED WAIT FOR IT. . . . .Message Tones OS9 S60v3, ive also found a dozen sites with this app and some other alternatives, looks like someone needs to learn how to Google.
Having the Search engine doesnt mean the system has failed, it means its more user friendly, its right there in Stand By screen, your N82 had it. The Search app allows you to find ANY SPECIFIC file in the phone eg. If i have loads of Documents and i want just one specific doc i simply go into Search type in 1st few letters like im looking for a contact and voila ive got it, in A200 id have to find the thing through file manager and take forever if ive got lots of data, like you said, a click. . . . .then times that by a 100 to find the actual file.
The reason i said clueless was due to the false statement you made about marking and all that, and now about the Message Tones lol!
What you gota realise is that you were using a Smartphone, even WM users dont always use system apps but go out and find apps that do things the way they want them to be done instead of being stuck with what the manufacturer gave them, so im happy for you that you went back to A200 you're obviously not prepared to find what you want, but the way your 1st post came across was if S60 is this annoying OS which is slow etc etc. . .when clearly it was not true but just user error, someone trying to use an S60 like A200, and that doesnt work, trust me i did the same when moving from my W900 to my old N80. Anyway as i said before each to their own, enjoy your W902.

Ahem, Gucci....Even with that software, you STILL have to search through all the files! I've seen those apps before. They just allow you to customize tones to contacts and profiles, rather than have a general message tone. It doesn't stop it being long winded. But thanks yet again.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, looks like someone needs to learn how to read.

yes, very nice, go offtopic and get personal as soon as you're proved wrong
Whats wrong with Stat Quo? He's not such a bad rapper, and by the way those two Stat Quo tracks come from Eminems previous album The Re-Up.
I realy hope you're not mixing up Stat Quo the rapper with STATUS QUO the rock band cause that would just be stupid.
