What do you exactly mean by "acoustic" in this case, and what is the significance of the files you posted earlier?
well, the files i posted before seem to be ones that control the audio of the phone(incluiding the headphones, handfree, etc). in java phones there is a folder named acoustic which contains the files that control the audio as well. that's why i call it acoustic.

in the vzlom(which is a rar file) file you download, inside you'll see a file named 1. you should copy that file in the location C:(assuming windows is installed there). that's all.

My problem is when I start the 1.py file from C Drive, it is giving me an error "python.exe - Unable To Locate Component" "This application has failed to start because pywintypes25.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Actually, when I installed the files first (as well as re-installed them), while installing 'win32-py2.5' and 'pyserial-2.2.win32', gave errors:
1. "Could not create k..." "pywin32-py2.5"
2. "Could not set key val..." "Python 2.5 pywin32-210"
3. "Could not set key value" "C:\\Python25\\removepywin32.exe" -u "C:\\Python25\\pywin32-winist.log"
and the rest of the installation process continued...
After Installing win32-py2.5 when it ask to click on finish:
"Copied pythoncom25.dll to C:\\Python25\\pythoncom25.dll
Copied pywintypes25.dll to C:\\Python25\\pywintypes25.dll
You do not have the permissions to install COM objects.
The sample COM objects were not registered.

Shortcut for Pythonwin created

The pywin32 extensions were successfully installed."
I am using Vista... Can that be the problem??? I have downloaded and installed the software twice...
Please see if you can help me tranced...

Are you logged on as an administrator? It seems that there's a lot of access denials as you try to install, I'd check your user rights via control panel.
This really stands out from your log:
"You do not have the permissions to install COM objects."
Implying that the problem lies within windows and your access rights.

Yes, I am logged in as an administrator... I only have one user on my Laptop so I don't think there should be any problems with that...
But what can I do to fix the problem??? |

I had the same problem.
I downloaded the file here:
http://cgi.cs.indiana.edu/~bh[....]/dist/pywintypes25.dll?rev=316
and copied it in C:\Python25
That fixed my problem.

@AD
Thanks for points regarding the admin thing... I have found the solution and now it's working... I right clicked on files 'pyserial-2.2.win32' and 'win32-py2.5', and under the compatibility tab I selected 'run this program as an administrator' and these files installed without any problem, unlike before... Now when I stated the 1.py file it didn't gave any problems...
Thanks to other too... |

..it.. might not be necessary to launch programs from the z: drive at all. I wonder if it will be possible to modify the _loc.rsc files and any references to the z- drive to something else, and then install the executables, the resources and so on, on the memory stick. And then use the launcher menu as normal to launch the application.
Because that's what we're doing with the other programs on the z- drive, no? Starting it from the accessible part of the OS. Might even be possible to package the files as sis- files, and deploy them normally after that, without any hack..

My P990 doesn't read memory cards so that is gone for me... Anyways, I will update to some other UIQ3 phone then... |

..just using the internal mem would probably work just as well.
