stickys are only useful for people who visit forums explicity

most regular members visit Esato using the "new posts" feature as they only want to see what has been posted since they last visited, and doing so, they don't see sticky topics. so for regular members stickys mean little and for infrequent visitors, trading is always going to be a risky business.

The A-ZoTT is a great initiative and if it is lacking in some way its better to address that rather than try to come up with yet another method which will have little effect for regular members... but then... regular members using the "new topics" access will see topics such as this and so be aware of such issues. this is confirmed by the number of members expressing their opinion in this topic

its quite a conundrum

I dont think your ever get your money back, if he was gonna give it back he would of done so by now, his cleary just made up some bullshit to put this on hold while he traded and sold a couple more phones, he'll probley return again next year and do excatly the same thing.

banning him will give him no way of contacting rookwise through here, sanctions on his use would be more worthwhile...

I agree with fatreg. If there's a problem such as item paid for but not received, money not refunded, one person receives the traded item but the other doesn't. The person who's at fault should have their access limited to certain sections of the site until the matter(s) have been resolved.
It has been done on other forums I know of. Don't know if it can be done on Esato though.

there's currently no automated way to prevent such members posting in the market forums, except for the built in new member rules (25 posts/1 month membership), and I have purposefully not banned or restricted mosdelln so that

a) he can communicate
b) he can possibly trade his way out, though I had hoped that anyone buying from him would send the owed money to rookwise first, though its not neccessarily the buyers obligation to do that of course

if one or other of these is no longer desirable I am happy to manually apply a restriction. These issues are fortunately few and far between that it is not difficult to do that

Bump

Looks like he's done another runner. Ah well. Will catch him when he comes back again.
