The design is really good, different from anything else out there. Its come a long way since the W800i.

Cool, finally SE's taking the big jump LOL. Well, responding to those who wants wifi, there's always W960, but yeah I would agree, just because you're clamshell lovers doesn't mean you're female and don't need wifi. Doesn't see the harm in SE implementing the first clamshell with wifi ever. They did come up with the first clamshell touchscreen with Z558i didn't they

But you're forgetting this is about "market segmentation". I realized this and was HOPING for WiFi but I know SE will not deliver at least in the next 5yrs. Not everybody wants to carry a wide & almost twice as thick smartphone with them just to have WiFi. IF NetFront and SE allow for more cache (more than the 300KB + 1MB in the K850i) and put in WiFi its QUITE capable of full html web surfing and would satisfy many ppl.

But this phone is incredible .... its going to be a collectors with its 8GB of memory imbedded. Remember how stoked we all where with the W900 with its 1GB of mem. I just hope this can record with QVGA @ 30fps; would be the cherry on the top.

I think for the smartphone wifi part there is one that is not that thick and its a sonyericsson if you want a thin smartphone with touchscreen and wifi go for SE G900 its only 13mm thick and it has a 5megapixel camera a little bit extra for the phone and for the size its hard to beat and they should at least have a QVGA 30fps for the SE W980

Anyways. This IS my next phone. Love the design and everything. Maybe it could have been a little smaller, but i can live with the size.

Love the design but I wish they'd do a cybershot version. Drop all the music bs (doesn't interest me in the slightest) and stick AF on the cam and a decent flash

mhmm about 400euros
that's not really cheap, I guess the internal 8gigs pushed the price higher (even if 8g cards are not that expensive)

I think/hope the final price in the shops will be lower (like what happened whit the other phones)

@mobse I tried whit a similar app called tunatic that compares audio from any source whit a database.
Whitout succes

you know the best recognition sw is always the human ear!

thanks for replying
