Plankgatan:

I actually like how ruthlessly you defend the K850. I agree with you, it's a great phone but there are better phones out there, that's all. Hopefully new firmwares do the K850 justice.

Let's just have fun man. I'm sick of the Nokia VS SE war.

Later!

you wanne here something funny.....

i live in a medium big town (Sweden)...there is work shop (in the same town) who takes job from 4-5 towns around my town...(they are quite large, and have been working with , nokia and samsung long time)......

when i DPY flashed my k850 there to fw 038 (and later back to 037)..the guy who owns the work shop (Danne) said - there have not been nearly no people at all, who comes in with theirs k850 and complaing about the software...

strange yes ???..realy, i think it strange..the work shop have many people there every day.

well well..i just thought about it...see you

I think its pot luck. Some are suffering more from bugs than others. I've been quite lucky. No dust etc.

I like the N82, I think its one of the better phones from Nokia but it looks very expensive right now.

Plangktan even if they were on par pic wise (which they arnt) the K850 is still lacking in so many areas. N82 runs on a better processor, it has a 3,5mm jack, it shoot video in a much higher res and even has built in GPS.

K850 is just a k800 with a slightly improved camera. Thats exactly what the K800 was to the K750.

cam wise all 5megapixels cam phones are as bollocks as each other, read here why www.6mpixel.org/en and i think both phones have a 1/2.8" sensor size, phone wise i think the k850i is alot nicer java based phones are alot easier to use, sony ericssons gui is the best to navigate and easiest to use, also the k850i has a nice unbranded walkman 3 player with megabass many people say it sounds great, the n82 screens is better though it's 2.4 inch's 16m colours and the k850i's is 2.2 inchs 265k colours, the n82 does have a quite power processor and 90mb but would you really use that much ram, i would rather have the k850, if your looking for a good cam phone look for a 3.2mp cam phone.

Remember you also have manual settings with the N82....

In truth both handsets have positive and negatives... I would honestly say check them for yourself and decide...

The people here seem to just have fights over NOKIA n

I prefer phones but in this case NOKIA has done it for me.

Cheers

K850 performs a lot better with manual settings, but since i don't have a n82 to compare it with i can't say anything about this

Yeah but some people are still moaning about the flash sync issue. If the colour was better and more vibrant and it didnt have so many bugs I may have gone for the K850 as I had a w800 and a k800 but they made the mistake of not putting in VGA video.

So what "better" means?

i mean one can see a difference in pictures taken with default settings and manual settings
And my experience with the phone tells me that the pictures are better with manual settings
