Pop Lover,
thanks.

There are some other small differences between these pics and the shown units, like the golden back and silver, instead of black display border.

I was all excited till I saw no AF. My W800 almost packed up last week but after a week on my K750 I managed to resurrect it. Like the Queen, it won't abdicate until there's a worthy successor!

The W890 certainly looks like a nice phone. Don't like it in brown though so its nice to see the other colours. Sadly, it seems true that there is a sacrifice on every phone. Im sure the next one will have AF but no microphone

Indeed. How very aptly put. Touché!
Same here, although sadly my W850 has no AF either, nothing worthwhile in sight yet (including W960 with its dismally bland design )

Cheers!

Dang, this phone is HOT!

I think the metal on this phone just looks like 'fashion' and 'premium' and its size is great.

Who cares about the camera? You can't have AF in a phone this thin - even the T650 has a 'bludge'. Actually I don't know how Samsung did it with the D900's camera (though it isn't the best image quality and it is around 3mm thicker...).

Maybe SE is having problems with putting AF in slim phones? W880i and W890i do not have AF, but it was explained that they're Walkmans. Slimmest SE with AF is T650i, which is 12.5mm, but lens part is thicker for about 2mm, so it still 14.5 (the same like K770i).

Actually I don't know how Samsung did it with the D900's camera (though it isn't the best image quality and it is around 3mm thicker...).

Yes, D900 is 12.9mm. BUT... U600 is 10.9 and it has 3.2MP camera with AF too. And it is a slider, so it is even less than 10.9 for the camera.

I want slim (~10mm) phone from SE with AF (can be 2.0MP).

i doubt they will incorpore this on the w890. as you can see, every model has its own features. maybe the new T phones will have this scratch screen protected.

I would think if they had the same screen as the T650 they would have advertised it a bit
