ok I should've made sure my connections on myphone weren't on 02 however they were when I thought I was using wi-fi im just abit shockd at loading a o2 page has brought up these charges..

ideally 11MB should be less then £26

I do think that 11mb is expensive at £26. However it should really be £33 so i would keep quiet

no point complaining to O2 about premium rate messages, since they are not able to provide you with any refunds regarding these messages. Premium rate messages are charged since a service has been subscribed to, via your mobile phone. You have to find out the code on your bill, where the charge is coming from, the code is normally 4 numbers, then go to http://www.icstis.org.uk/consumers/ncd/DisplayServiceDetails.asp which is the premium rate regulator, type the code in that website, then you will find the number of the company who placed the charge on your bill, then discuss the charges with the premium rate company. since its not upto O2 to refund any charges or stop these services, since the service is only stopped by the user who is getting charged, by them calling the company concerned themselves.

Also i have been looking at the previous posts about your gprs complaints, and as darrengf said, don't use the service if you don't want to be charged. As mentioned 3 are looking at getting new customers. and orange are also charging £3 per megabite. so its not only o2.

Finally if you are not happy with O2 taking ages to reply, or not happy with the reply you get in an email. Why don't you call them free of charge from your mobile, to complain, if your not happy with the response of the advisor, then talk to the team manager by all means, and if your not happy with that, why don't you write to them? instead of relying on an email, because O2 always reponds back by mail, if you write to them at least. instead of complaining of not hearing anything back by emails etc.

In additional to Mr Miyagi.

There isnt a lot that o2 can do.

However there is something that you could probaly try and do.

If you have a SE phone
go into Messaging, then settings, Go into Push.

Then in there there is a setting called Allow Push msg, Change that to Never.

In the Picture message, chooseaccept merssages. I take the ticks out of that.

** Note on the above. This will stop you receiving adverts and certain picture messages. Lie the ones you can request out of papers etc.

But like me. I look on the internet and get them for free.

The £7.50 Web Bolt on, is superb And o2 do say its fair ussage, of 200mb

note that if you go over by a few mb then nothing will happen. However if you abuse it then you are placed on the more dearer one at £30

But if this hapens. you are giving 30 days notice before anything happens.

Also you are also asked just to try not to abuse it 30 days previous days to that and then everything stays the same.

O2 web bolt on dont stop you using it for most of the services either. So they sort of dont mind you what you use it on. Just dont take the mick (As its said)

Who do you pay £30 for 5mb?

This is O2 Terms regarding the £7.50 web bolt on

O2 Web Bolt On
The monthly subscription package for the O2 Web Bolt On can only be added to a consumer voice tariff and allows you unlimited use of O2’s 3G/GPRS Mobile Data Services for Permitted Uses only.

Permitted Uses of O2 Web Bolt On are uses of your SIM Card within a handheld mobile device for the purposes of Internet Browsing and email (excluding BlackBerry® email) only.

Any other use of the O2 Web Bolt On will not be a Permitted Use, including but not limited to:

Use of the O2 Web Bolt On with Data Cards or Modems;

Instant Messaging,
IP Telephony,
Point 2 Point file sharing and file transfer,
VoIP (e.g. Skype™),
Video and TV streaming,
Slingboxes; and
Use in conjunction with routers.

O2 reserves the right to suggest an upgrade to the O2 Web Max tariff or to withdraw the O2 Web Bolt On from you at any time if O2 reasonably suspects you of using the service for uses other than the Permitted Uses or abuse of the service, including using an atypical volume of data as compared to normal users of the O2 Web Bolt On, which will normally be less than 200MB of usage within a one month bill cycle (termed “fair usage”).

O2 will contact you before O2 Web Bolt On is withdrawn or upgraded. If for any reason contact is not possible then O2 may temporarily bar the service until contact can be made. In the event that O2 withdraws the O2 Web Bolt On, O2 is not obliged to offer any alternative replacement service. If O2 determines that you may upgrade to an alternative tariff which is more appropriate for your requirements then, if you consent, O2 will transfer you to the alternative service as soon as is reasonably practicable after you advise O2 that this is what you wish to do.

In these terms the expression “you” shall mean the Customer, and your shall be interpreted accordingly.

Hope this helps

I know o2 are well aware of the problems.

I do know that gprs charges are now about 48 - 96 hours behind.

they are working really hard to make it 24-48 hour and then a few hours.

£7.50 work like a treat tho. as you need not worry
