Hello all.

Went to my mates today to have my first proper go on a PS3 and i cant say how disappointed i am.

For starters someone sent us a message, and you have to go all the way back to the home screen to read it And then when we went to play online we couldn't play one of the lads from school because his COD4 had an update for American Copies of the game. Whats that all about activision?
Another thing was getting on your friend list which was exactly the same as reading a message. Its just convenience that sony need to sort out.

I must say though, resistance is a beast! So was that drakes game *crosses fingers for a 360 port*

I think i'm going to postpone my PS3 buying days for a bit till they sort out the bugs

Danny, I admit PSN is lacking one or two features compared to xbl..but i wouldn't call them bugs.

IMO, works fine for me..have been playing games like ut3 and fifa online for some time now without any lag or crashes.

Also Sony assured at CES that in game xmb will be available in 2008..So its a matter of time before the missing features are added.
But the biggest plus point..I don't have to pay $50 for any of it..this includes free HOME aswell

And now with Resistance 2 (60p MP, 8p co-op ) added to an already great line-up of '08..I think its a great year for anyone to jump ship. Hopefully you'll follow soon and maybe..we can butcher each other with Darth Vader someday

More Resistance 2 details..

Semi-official Sony blog Three Speech has let loose more details of the newly unveiled Resistance: Fall of Man sequel.

Action will take place in the United States, apparently, and feature partially randomised geometry to keep things fresh each time you blast through it.

Those gigantic 60-player online battles will be squad-based, and have you choose your role from one of three classes: a hardy soldier with heavy weaponry, a special ops type for ranged attacks like sniping and a medic.

Resistance 2 will matchmake you with others of your skill too, ensuring you never face a team disproportionately better than yours.

New enemies will also feature, unsurprisingly, such as Chameleon and Stalker baddies with a cloaking ability. Arnold could beat them.

Insomniac has also taken feedback from the first game to improve long checkpoints and the health system, as well as using more of the PS3 power to cram greater numbers of enemies on screen and boost their intelligence to Key Stage 2.

Yesterday US magazine Game Informer revealed its Resistance 2 cover feature, effectively announcing its arrival to the world.

The biggest new additions are a separate eight-player co-operative campaign (or two-player in local mode), and the enormous online battles.

Resistance 2 is due for release this year on PS3, according to Three Speech, and you can see the first shots here.

Almost forgot, does any one forsee any issues with using a 250GB USB drive for all my videos music etc with the PS3. Also wondering if I can save games to the USB drive as I only have a 40GB version and with games like Heavenly Sword needing 2.5 gig that doesnt leave me with a lot of space.

@evilchap there wont be any problem using your 250 gig usb hdd with the ps3 as long as it is formatted FAT32. But I suggest if you have a large capacity SATA hdd..replace your 40 gig hdd with that one. Most people with the 40GB versions are doing that..

About saving...just hit triangle when u select a game in the save game folder..and hit copy..then you can copy your save game to your usb hdd.
