you can say that, yeah. the main changes would be in the UI, and some extra features would be added for the branded phones, i.e. Megabass for W series and Bestpic for K series. however, that does not detract from the fact that the unbranded phones could potentially perform to the same level as a branded one. I'd take the T650i any day over the K800i, regardless of the Cybershot branding. the difference in UI is just too marginal to me. |

I don't think there's any competition out there ATM, considering the specifications for T650i. maybe indirect ones, yes. but nothing could compete directly with this baby. |

no this is better IMO than the 8800. easily on looks, build quality, and spec.

i mean that it is made of metal, mostly, like 8800 (full metal though) and has 'better' features...... i see this phone as a 8800 style

Yes, but why can't there also be a T-phone for us? We did get a US model of the T610 (T616) and T630 (T637).
Besides, quad-band + EDGE means anyone can use it, not just the US. So it's not fair to say the S500 is "just for us."
Why can't make everything quad-band is beyond me. Even Motorola knows how to do this, while keeping their phones inexpensive.
