but i couldn't make it. Tried two times but every time SEUS says, latest FW already intalled. No idea whats going on? But my phone was a branded O2 and i couldn't update it for the first time but then I debrand it on kulankendi and it got updated fine. But this time it sucks. But i did update my P990i O2 Branded at the same time last night but couldn't sort it out how to update my gorgeous W950i. Any idea guys? |

I also had the latest firmware, R9F011, on generic world 1. Unfortunately, I updated my firmware again today and now the phones been reverted to the previous firmware, wish I didn't update now!!
I quite liked the new firmware, the startup progress bar was useful, transitions was off by default, hence faster menu performance, and also no flickering when browsing contacts. Although, the phone froze on a couple of ocassions (never happened before with previous firmware!).
Stupid SE, what are they playing at!?, the backlight does not turn off anymore, it only dimms slightly, what the f**** going on????
edit: the backlight turns off again, I restarted after a backup/restore and the backlight now turns off as before, strange !

I honestly do not understand what they are doing at SE..anyway
since I updated my debranded with KK phone I have not had any problem of whatsover...no reboots or something else.
phone seems faster and I had already transitions on off with previous fw too so maybe with the newest one is a bit faster but aint sure about it.
anyway I am pretty sure that KK has nothing to do with the update and I also think that in the next days we will see again available the new fw.
perhaps there has been a delay in the update of the languages and therefore they have stopped the update untill everythign is ready as it should be...anyway just my two cents.

Im really really pleased that SE have dug themselves into a ditch with this one, putting out new firmware & new software (PC suite) and then having to pull the plug and revert back to the old firmware\\software becasue there was something wrong (for a change). Dont get me wrong its real bad for all of us, the end users but I hope they go into the red or even go skint and have to shut down. The so called smartphones, M600i, W950i, P990i, smartphones my arse if they was smartphones they would be smart and work. They have used us as guinea pigs to test there shite and there shite is not getting any better, they robbed me of 450 for a made in China lump of plastic junk and haven even got the decency to replace my lump of plastic junk or refund my money under the warranty. I have been real happy with the last 3 years of SE products so I bought myself a M600i, they made a phone ive always wanted, P9xxx was to big and had far to much on it so I went for the M600i and I wish I never had. Goodbye SE, its back to Nokia until you can get your act together but I hope you go down the pan trying |

Maybe not from the international site, but from the greek SE site "PC Suite" was definitely removed on thursday. |

I'm not sure why SE pulled the firmware or the PC suite (assumming that they really did), but I have them both and couldn't be happier. My W950i works better than it ever has with the new firmware and the latest version of the PC suite is working just great for me as well. While the W950i isn't perfect, it's still one of the best smartphones I've ever owned to date. It has been stable since the day I got it and it does everything great (and the phone actually works unlike other devices I've owned like the ETEN G500, what a POS that device was!). Thus, I'm not sure why others are having so many problems??? |

What about W950i...... has the R9F011 firmware been released again or when will it be released, anybody knows ???

yes latest version is also available for generic 1 w9501 R9F011. I just updated my phone and after 3 crashes i finished my update successfully. |
