nice screen, pity about the specs though. if it's any indication of the k800 sucessor, with mid-low range phones having QVGA screens, i think the k850 (?) would have a larger screen perhaps. |

w580i would be a nice replacement for my w850i if the build quality would be very good, no creaking and no cracking housings, solid slider, hope sony ericsson would make the walkman player play louder music in loudspeaker and headset mode. and thank god there's no light sensor (i hate it) and joystick. |

from the pix of da w580 i can't tell if its really soild but for sure betta dan w850 , bout da sound mayb it would get louder but never better more like FLAT (thru loudspeaker) coz of da slimmness n actully i cant get any happier dan da sound of ma w850i , for the light sensor thingy i really like it  , joystick ?? c'mon its only gonna get worse ..

I gotta have EDGE..... Wish it had a 3.2 MP
There are no SE 3.2 MP cam phones with 850MHZ..... Wake up SE !!!!

Probably the same quality as the K800 or W850. SE have probably used the same LCD components in all three.

You mean K790a. 850/1800/1900 + EDGE.
I would like the W580, except for the very stupidly side-mounted FastPort. How am I supposed to use my MRC-60? How am I supposed to use an HCH-60 (since I don't see anything else that would fit)? 
I repeat, my W810 and I will be sticking together for a looooong time.

The S500 will be available between end of this month and beginning of June,the W580 should be available in july as SE said Q3

too bad man..my p990i is not working and m using motorola c118 which simply sux bigtime... i cant use this cell more than 2 months now..
