Yes, the thread is plastic. I had the plate screwed on (but no phone attached) and I dropped it from waist height - was gob smacked when I realised it had broken rather than just come apart! As you can see, the threat is partially hollow. I just drilled it out slightly, cut the end of a small nail, shoved it in with some epoxy resin and all happy again
You can't tell it's been fixed and it must be a lot stronger than the original now. |

Recieved one today for £15 from a UK Ebay seller. Very pleased with the case. Really holds the phone (a K810) tight. Cant see the rubber bands lasting long though.
Where do people store the top section. The piece that screws onto the tripod ?
I've managed to place mine between the tripod and the case which seems to hold it but is there an actual place on the case for it ??
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose  |
