mib - So LG KE920(5mp) wasn't available last year then(no mention of I-mobile 902(8mp) or Samsung B600(10mp), as they weren't technically world market devices)??

I wouldn't call Nokia fast(they only had N93 until January), I'd call painfully slow.....

I-mobile is 5 megapixels. 8mp is through software. It's like saying the K700 is a 1 megapixel phone =\\.

Samsung's one was just done for the sake of having the largest MP.

LG's might be 5mp, but from memory, it was a very poor attempt. It takes and saves pictures at a very slow rate.

dxreaper, true the KG920 wasn't a particularly GOOD 5mp cameraphone, but my point was that it was available more than 6 months before the N95.......

unlike the N95, KG920 was not released worldwide but only in selected markets only.

WIfi? for me it's just a neglectable feature in phones, because of the following:

Sorry but without HSDPA, WiFi and GPS integrated very soon SE is dead.

ahh... wouldn't be so sure about it, mass market is where the money lies and phones which have all of those features e.g. N95, are painfully expensive. For tech freaks and rich people only, and one could hardly call those two groups the masses. Well at least that's my point of view...

SE has never been a mass market company. They only have 7% of the market. Losing technology lead in innovations they will soon become uninteresting for people who supported them in the first place - users who want latest technology at any cost.

I think what he means is that most ppl buy phone not based on tech alone. So SE simply after the bigger market. This is not connected to SE market share itself.

Well if 80% of the market don't demand high tech then SE is better of getting 7% of those rather than the other 20%. Also I think SE marketshare is double digits and must be higher than 7%. Don't count the CDMA market as SE don't have any phone for that market at all.

thank you hanugro, that's what I meant.

I don't think will introduce all-in-one N95 style devices, they just can't afford it.

i've been following up all the leaks (or so called leaks) about Sofia.

the sure thing we know:
it has 5 mpx cam

other mentioned rumoured aspects:
UIQ
Goforce 5500
call/hang up keys
Walkman 3.0
30 fps
HSDPA
WiFi

....
don't know what to say, we need some clever hints by credible people like: Rog, or Eldar.
or we need to keep busy up until the 14th of june.
hopefully this Sofia would be innovative.
