No it doesnt even turn on!! All that happens when you press the on button is a little red light flashing in the infared port! |

Try to take the batt out longer. Then fully charge your batt in other phone (your phone condition may prevent the batt to be charged). If still no joy try different computer.
If still fail, then maybe it is hardware problem and you really have to bring it to SE service centre. |

Sammi your battery is daed if you get a steady Red Light.
If it is blinking then I assume the EROM is damaged.
@tranced Have you tried using a different cable and computer as sometimes the computer just can't read it |

I'm having the same issue... I tried the steps that he posted on page one; and this is the result:
Connect your phone, pressing "C"
waiting...

SEMCSEC status 3

So; I went and tried the SE Updater; and that said that: "Identification failed".
So; my question is: What is the SEMCSEC status 3 message?! I've searched all over the internet; and no one can tell me or no one seems to know what it is.
I'm getting the blinking red lights; and my battery was fully charged when it went into brick mode; so I know I have power. So; I'm at a loss here...
Also; what is this spoon shorting out thing, I'm willing to try anything because Sony won't repair the phone because I bought it from the UK and live in the US... They stated that because I'm using it in a gray market the warranty is void. |

OK, here is alternative. I DO NOT know whether it work but topsony said it fixed stuffed EROM as well. This is EROM FOTA and DIFFERENT from EROM mentioned in the first page (it is the last item in the software info and NOT the second item in the software info).

Basically you download the new XS++ 1.6.x that can work up to CID52, then you download EROM_FOTA from topsony ACCORDING to your CID. Put the EROM_FOTA bin file in the MAIN section and press flash.
Ppl who can not use wotan/kulan, etc to update EROM version may try to use update EROM_FOTA instead.
Again, I DON'T know whether it work just showing the possible alternative! Please report your finding here.
I will upload the EROM_FOTA for CID49,51,52 if I have time.

hi, i downloaded the software from the instructions machanic wrote and it does evrything right up to where it says press "c" to connect, i press the c button on my k800i and nothing happens. can anyone help me please. thanks, danny |

@danny: you need to press and hold the C key, then you plug in the usb cable.

what you used to do?
you just have to press and hold, plug the usb cable and it will tell that the phone was detected. also its CID, EROM, DB version and those stuffs.
