None of the posted info is really a surprise, so i ought to be true.
Hardware updates for t68i will never come, they make more money selling new phones |

they make some money making new phones.. how much do they make out of firmware updates?
it's the first time i've seen this thread, but after reading it, it still seems likely that an april release could happen. the t68 has been one of the most successful ericsson's for years, not to mention the most successful SE phone- to not build on that success with a followup soon would be very foolish. i think the deafening silence on the issue is quite encouraging, really- better that than slipping deadlines.. |

there's a theory that after the p800 debacle (release dates constantly being put back, etc) SE are being a lot more careful about the information they release. we may not have any firm info till perhaps just weeks before the launch. i kind of like this theory, so i think i'll subscribe. |

I think that they should do a poly. upgrade for the t68i, cos its such a good phone its only that and Java that let it down. Oh and maybe the screen. |

You can't "upgrade" a phone to polyphonics and a better screen, because that's hardware. It really would have to be a new phone.
But since SE tends to be WAY ahead on featuresets in a phone, I'm sure the next SE phone / T68i replacement will have polyphonic tones. |

firmware uprgades are NEVER meant to put new features such poly ringtontes, java or whatever.
t68m to t68i is an exception since they needed to make the ericsson t68m a new sony ericsson.
