You can set it to resize automaticly, ask about it or don't do a thing.

The problem with not doing anything is that many phones can't recive so big pics and that the network often have a limit on the MMS (For example vodafone/telenor has 300kb, if it's larger the price to send it is more then double!)

I would like a setting that could be set to a limit for the pic.. not just resize or not... The pics end up at about 80-90kb.. I want around 200kbit.

Have you notice too that if you have assinged a melody to a contact when you have a dispotive pair to the phone and the bluetooth activated if you are using the dispositive all is fine when that contact calls you sound the ring you have choosen but in case that you have turned off the auricular but leave the bt connected then the ring that you hear is the one you have predeterminated for all calls. and if you swith off the bt then the melody changes again.

also if you syncronize with outlook the field mobil for example doesnt match with that on your phone.

Sorry for my english but i think you can understand what i am saying
also if you have any solution for that please let me know. Thanks.

Hi,

I noticed that when i send a peer-to-peer MMS to my SE P990i, the device resizes the image and i don't get a large image when the i recivce the MMS. Is this just the way the phone work or than this be changed by the user? Any advice will be great.

Thnx

that's why i find it crazy when phones have these 2... 3... or even 4 mega pix cams. what 's the point of it if you have to resize the pics for MMS?

Eh... you know you can save the pictures in your computer or mail them and print them on photopaper? It's not only to send MMS!

And with new firmware you can stay on 2Mpixel all the time, select "send" directly in viewing mode and it will get downsampled to something well below 100 kB (previously only I got the warning that the picture was too large to atach to a MMS and no option to downsample at all).
It's not OK, but almost leagal

Well then in that case stop moaning about it so much, dont use the p990i camera if you feel its of crap quality or isnt sufficient enough for your needs .

Jah,

Thanks for the tips. However, I've already done that.

The RAM goes down quickly in some application and it will not recover back to 15 MB.

3. Re-boot and leave unused for 5/10 minutes

I managed a max of 16.2mb using this procedure

Hi,

I have had the P990i for three weeks and here is my list of problems:

1. Crashes at least once a day.
2. Can't connect an ongoing call to my Ericsson BT Car hands free. The other way it works but not this way (with P900 there are no problems)
3. Have not found a way of activating the speaker before the call or during the call before the other end picks up the phone.
4. Can't configure calendar items as private. Using Outlook. This was no problem with P900.
5. Wonder how you make sure that a connected WLAN is really used instead of 3G/GPRS when browsing internet?
6. If you have remowed the Flap then you don't have the "C" key which is needed in SW update. So you have to install the flap again to be able to update SW :-0

Hi all, it would be really useful if those of you with the P990 could report problems here as the other P990 thread covers too much.

You can setup you connection priorities in the internet group settings. You know if you are connecting via wlan because the wlan on the task bar goes from grey to a bolder black colour when connected.
I've got to say the wlan/3g/gprs switching is one area where the P990i really excels.

Not true. The letter "C" on the qwerty keyboard works in exactly the same way it does on the M600i.

Anyone tell me how do I look up my contact book whilst I'm on a call (either FC or FO), example, I need to find a number for another contact and read it out to the person that is on the phone.

Also, in FC mode, I can never get letters from the keys, I only get numbers, so if I open contacts and want to search for "P"'s, if I press "7" on the keypad, I get a 7 not a P. Similar happens if I want to send a text in FC mode.

Any thoughts ?

You can see that the small icon for WiFi is active and you can press the globe to see what account that is active for the moment. Everytime you use some kind of data-transfet the globe is visible at the bottom. (in FO-mode) Press it and it'll show you whats happening..
If the WiFi-icon is gray or not visible then you arn't connected to WiFi... but I guess maby you already had figured that one out.

After taking photos using the camera, the image thumbnail preview in the photo gallery is very blurry.
