I don`t think so.hpm-82 is hpm70 with remote(same earpiece).I have same problem with sound volume and I really miss my w800`s sound 
I`m an ex w800/k750 user and I can say there is a huge difference between w800/k750 and k800-especially if you use hpm70-.I`m very disappointed about k800`s sound.I want a good mutimedia phone(music AND pictures).I know that k800 is not W but k750 is K series and has much better sound than k800(also has megabass).Why Se didn`t upgraded just the camera and let intact that great sound fromk750???
I hope SE will come with solutions to increase k800`s output level.

i just bought my k800 and i am planning of updating on SEUS. is there a problem with the latest f/w that i should know about before i update? im using R1D001. a little help pls. |

my k800 sound is good almost comparable to my previous w850i  , using same headset (HMP-70). MegaBass is not a big issue to me coz i never use it even on my walkman phones...

well the fone wasnt really made for excellent sound quality if you get gd enough ear buds which i have sound quality will be imence. if you want an mp3 player thats what the w series has been made for but the k800i can play many more formats then the previouse k750i i.e. mp3, wma, and mp4 so lets be greatful really. but lets face it its all a marketing scheme you will have to pay more money for the best product and u will allways want more |

i thought u guys said that the player for k800 is the unbranded version of the walkman less the Megabass?
i noticed that WALKMAN player for Wseries is like this...
when you are playing a song in NOW PLAYING mode,when u press the UP key, it returns you to the current playlist.
Why is it that my player in K800 does'nt do this? is there something wrong with my player or firmware? my firmware is R1GB001
or is just normal? if so maybe we should say that the k800 music player is the Unbranded version of walkman less the Mega Bass less the up/down feature to playlist in Now PLaying mode..

no your phone is normal. k800i doesnt do that, only  phone...

I noticed that there are many crackz you can do with K750 in order to get more clearer and sharper images from it.
In time, I'm sure that there will be a way to do the same with sound in K800.
Wait just a bit more...

I modded the speaker a bit on my K800, and the sound is now like my k700 (a bit better). Try it:

Yes it can mate. All the RHCP music on my phone is in WMA form.
