The question is, will poor qCif be on Cybershot phones because better video is likely appear on the so called Handycam phones? Lets hope not.

SE should make p1000 with 3,2mpix+optical &vga video recording, forget the nexperia proc Use 520mhz xscale proc It should enough to boost uiq3.0
So maybe se can catch up with nokia n83 |

You know there are more Cyber-shot phones on the way. That's a certainty, and with sales of the K800 doing so well, it doesn't take a genius to work out that SE will milk the brand as they did with Walkman.
Optical zoom will come. Decent video will come.
Will we see Handycam? Perhaps, but is there really a market for a camcorder phone (like the N90 or N93). Ordinary Cyber-shot cameras have decent video, so I am not sure we really need Handycam on the phone so it can have VGA or DVD quality video.

Thats what I was thinking.
It sounds a bit like  going mad with these parent brands. Cybershot is good but Handycam - can't see it really.

Sony and Sony Ericsson have introduced a new product – a 2.74” module for LCD screen with non-standard resolution – 240x432 pixels. It measures 40.24x70.77x1.75 mm.
The LCD supports RealityMAX brand technology, which analyses the image and automatically adjust brightness level. It features 350:1 contrast level, 39.6 mWt, 262K colors, 160 degrees viewing angles.

Just seen a presentation from SE, 30 new phones for 2007, the best one is upgrade of W950, 4GB iternar memory, qwerty, UIQ and 3,2Mpix camera. I`l wait for that Can`t tell the other details, it was a very brief presentation... |

So there is space for a 3.2mp cam in the W950 shell.
This proves that there might not be cams on some  handsets soon
