Really? I just got an email from O2 that its out the 28th. Here's the text:
"Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service.
The Sony Ericsson K800i is not yet launched on our network. The expected launch date for the Sony Ericsson K800i is 28 June 2006. I am sorry but I am unable to tell you if this is a confirmed launch date for the Sony Ericsson K800i." |

I was told there now that my order had moved from 'out of stock' to 'processing' and I would get it on tuesday or wednesday. They said that it was instock and ready to go on my second call.

O2 shop and CPW near me both told me that they were getting stock by mid-week. I asked at The Link but they hadnt heard of the phone and looked at me like I was from mars.

Hi, i'm planning on getting a contract phone soon... and at the moment i'm undecided between the SE k800 and the samsung e900 (or even the SE w810 in white) :S i'm happy with the specs on both k800 and e900 tho k800 is a little on the thick side. i currently own the SE k700 (also a bit worried about the joy stick on k800 cos the one on my k700 broke) what do u guys think? |

Would it be possible for one of you guys with a K800 to run the JBenchmark suite against the K800? It would be interesting to compare performance against the K750/W800.
Thanks

The K800i is an awseome handset, biggest downfall is the battery life which sucks, by the way it takes the same battery as the M600i and the S700i

And the W900i as well. Except it is an upgraded version of that battery with 950 mAh instead of just 900 mAh. It still has the same model number though (BST-33).
Compared to the W900i the battery life is actually slightly improved. It is UMTS that causes increasing battery usage. So comparing it to a pure GSM phone like the S700i is impossible. Try turning off UMTS, and see what happens to your battery life! |

The K800i uses the same battery as the M600i and W900i (BST-33) but not the same as the S700i (BST-27).
