Not what I meant... Have you used a K750i/W810i or something similar? In those phones you can view pictures horizontally and they take up the full screen.. That way they look much better.
Well, technically, you can do the same with a Z550i if you rotate the picture but then it gets rotated permanently... i.e. Its rotated even if you transfer it to a comp and view it...
well if u can rotate pictues so that they are in full screen mode then why can't you rotate video to get a more fuller (not neces. 'full screen;) screen video playback !
google video rotaters , there are quite a few! rotate the picture but then it gets rotated permanently

Yeah, you can rotate the picture to view it fullscreen, but when you upload it to the computer it appears the wrong way round, just like you suggested 
I think this was limited deliberately due to the form factor of the phone. Unlike the K750 etc., it isn't as practical to hold a clamshell sideways.

my best friend has z550i, r6ca009 fw,
