OK I am very new to this bluetooth thing and have just bought my first bluetooth accessory the Jabra BT200. Now if I switch of bluetooth on my phone and switch of the BT200 and then later on switch the BT200 on and activate BT on my T68i why do they not see each other do I need to pair them every time I switch them on. I know this has proberbly been asked before but I could do with a reply from you guys Just so I know what I am doing wrong please.

I actually just returned my BT-200 after a week. The sound was very "watery" if I left the phone in the belt holster on the same side of my body. Neither a jeans pocket, nor an inside jacket pocket were any good either. If I took the phone out and held it up, it was better, but that defeats the purpose.
The phone was billed as being able to leave the phone in a briefcase or jacket pocket, and use a headset wirelessly. That's clearly not the case at all. I'll stick with wired headsets until the technology matures a bit.
BTW, I had the R5D007 firmware from AT&T. |

after reading these reviews i'm really tempted to get the freespeak, especially for the low price! However i've just seen this http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=7166 (don't yet know who makes it although i have emailed aria so hoping they'll get back to me pretty soon) which looks like amazing value for money (if it works ) and wanted to know if anyone has any experience of this product?
thanks.

I just bought my BT200 so I am still getting used to it. My first impressions are very good. At first it is a little bit difficult to put it on and it feels strange but after a little while you forget you are wearing it.
I do have some things about the voicedialling. Do you need to activate a special setting like automatic/on at the bluetooth menu? Voicedialling does'nt seem to work when on automatic, only with 'on'. And I can't get the phone to accept a call using my voice. I keep saying yesyes - the word I trained - but nothing. |

In January I finally got a Jabra BT200 to use with my T39m, but was a little disappointed that it didn't do all that I expected (e.g., voice answer and caller name). So I upgraded to a T68i, since I had heard reports here and on usenet that these features do work with the T68i. But for several months now, I couldn't get them to work. Then I checked my software version -- very old. So today I upgraded to R7A013, but things are even worse! Still no voice answer, still no caller name, and now when I try to add or replace voice commands with the headset, the phone freezes! Only way out is to pop the battery out and re-start, which causes the "please wait" message to pop up for about 5 mins!
Can anyone give any advice about how to get caller name to work? I have tried it on normal and port-hfree profiles, with voice dialling, voice redial, voice answer and caller name all switched on, answering mode under "handsfree" set to automatic (also tried normal), handsfree type set to automatic (also tried basic). I also have h-free sound set to "in handsfree" on the bluetooth menu.
Voice dialling works OK, so it's not a basic BT pairing problem.
Thanks for any advice. |

I just purchase the headset. I'm having the same voice commands problem. I have the R7A software on the T68i. I would like to be able to use all the functionality of the phone and headset. Has anyone seen any fixes to this problem?
Update.
I have solved my problems with voice control. I've learned that you can not set the voice control up through the headset. Once you set your voice control up using the phone you can use the voice commands through your headset. I'm very happy with the results.

I love my Jabra BT 300. It's very comfortable. Has good battery life, and the sound quality is acceptable. |
