Nokia made a better phone this time imho, except maybe in pure imaging department nokia,i feel is superior. They deserve real credits if phone is lauched at the prescribed timeframe and of course without major problems.and se used to lead imaging departments,at least now they lost it to n93 i feel.
It uses the new symbian 9 ,s60 v3,which i hear is far quicker and responsive than previous versions.
Imo se should make more uiq3 phones and postion it against s60's rather than only make ultra high ends like p990 which competes against s90/s80.
Im an se fan for sure, but nokia deserve credits. They did well.

i'm actually really happy about the k800/k790 having a real camera flash, since although the led light did prove quite useful in times of darkness, when taking pictures and you need the help of the led light, cos its always on, it is shown in the picture, ecspecially if the item or thing is shiny etc, also i get moaned at if i want to take a picture of someone in poor light because they don't want a bright light shining at them all the time, can't really look and smile so well. so i'm all for the new xeon falsh thing...

I think I'm going to be going with the N73 because of the bigger screen, and also, because I'm fed up with the joysticks of SE's and with the bloody in-expandible os.
Plusses for me of the N73 is that it has a good lens, huge screen, good speakers, expandible Symbian os, and better coverage.
Minuses, brand, (although that is a bit childish), and thats about it.
I don't want the SE because my past experience with the K series of phones has been really disapointing, and as such I've been using a Samsung E720 for over a year now. Quite depressing. So, I'm going with the nokia whenever it comes out...

I just read about the W850 - I'm a bit tired of all the people defending it for not having a 3mp camera, I mean we pretty much knew it won't have it but still - the argument that it's a Walkman branded phone is rather lame, considering the W800 and K750 have the same quality camera... Purposly maming a product to appeal to a label is stupid in my idea - it's like selling one PC with highend Video card and one with high end Audio. Most people want High End EVERYTHING!
I can even understand why the W950 comes with no camera - it's aimed straight for the Walkman users and I know a lot of people who do not care about a camera (weird - I know!) but if you Offer a camera - you should make it the best one you've got, not have users have to compromise...

If it('w850') dont have 3mp cam,its in turn another w700/w800/w810.
The question is why should someone go and buy the new w850 if there is nothing new in it.

From the looks of it, it's got 240x320 large size display (2.2" at least), new form factor(slider) and most likely a tweaked media player (speculation on this one) and 3g - it's got a camera in the ear piece. Other than that - nothing new... |

2.2" screen would be nice.so is the fact that its a slider,
but you have to look at its competetion.
The problem is we expect something special from se which they dont always deliver.

2.2" would be nice but the N73 has a 2.4" screen!

Leave your sentiment aside and look at specs alone, the k800 looks really pathetic next to the n73. |

Very true, and I'm pretty sure the N73 will be my next phone, unless something rather large comes along that is a problem, say the camera is poo, but I think it'll be pretty damn good, except I haven't seen any sample shots, from it....

I really want to see the difference in lens quality between the two. I've seen some (real?) sample pictures of the k800 (strawberries and blue roses) and it still looks like they are using a fisheye for a lens. Will the Nokia Carl Zeiss lens give better quality or are those sample pictures just cr*p?!
I want a camera phone so the quality of the pictures and the camera options are most important for me. Had a Nokia and now a k750i and both don't score a 10.
Eagerly waiting for some more pictures/review/release date (doing a lot of waiting here ). |

What can I say - I'm a sentimental kinda guy I'll have to stick with SE, since I won't touch a Nokia... |
