they'll surive the ban, they'll just be losing profit.

@joe, who says we 'aren't' addressing that minority. You haven't been reading Arabic news. It's a perfect example of how you only know what you're told by your own media.

At the moment muslims feel hurt and angry which is quite frankly understandable..and we all say and do things in the heat of the moment, hopefully everyone on boths sides of the arguement will just forgive and forget and move on and let this kind of thing never happen again..the media has hopefully has learnt from this bitter experience and will be a lot more carefull and use its \"Freedom of Speech\" wisely and not be offensive and disresptfull to anyones religion, faith or practice...we all have one planet to share and nowhere else to go so we do need to educate each other and respect one anothers beliefs and practices if we are to live together as one. As I said, Muslims don't like it. It's not just a cartoon, it's showing the Prophet with a bomb and the word God on it. Its insulting.

I imaging taking the piss out of hindus, jews christians is insulting too (a la simpsons and south park).
But these insults never mount to nothing why? Maybe because no one takes it to seriously. Just like that cartoon should of not been taken seriously.

Is this picture of moses not just as bad

joe mate thats what we are trying to say to you..muslims are not like, christians, hundus or jews...Muslims are very very sensitive to anyone insulting the Holy Prophet in any kind of way..Islam is taken very very seriously,...All muslims want is for non-muslims to respect a few fundamental rules of Islam...its not asking for much if muslims say don't print or show pictures of the prophets is it?..for the sake of peace and harmony between communities we should all do our best to respect each other as much as possible. maybe it time that the muslims start to recognize, that we live in the 21th century and not in the 15th... i have to accept them, ok. but what about the other side, arent they ready to be a bit more "cool" ? its not really fair imo

The guy who drew the cartoon wasn't a muslim right? So how was he to know that drawing allah was wrong.

You've got to understand that people who dont follow islam are free to draw pictures of god/allah.

Why should a non-muslim follow a muslim law? Out of respect, i'm sure a muslim wouldn't do the same for another religions law.

non-muslims have to learn a few basics about Islam and that is Islam will never change,..like someone said earlier Islam does'nt need to be updated...Islam has been unchanged for the last 1400 years and is not about to change now..people should accept that and learn to co-exsist around it...your making it sound like it was muslims who started this...why should they be cool?...If anyone insults someone i love the last thing i would do is be cool with them. i agree its about respect but respect is earned not just handed out. i agree we need to be more tolerant of each other but this is also a 2 way street.

No he was'nt a muslim, but im sure he knew not to insult Islams greatest Prophet....everything goes through the editor before being printed,im sure they would have spotted that taboo nature of the subject matter..I actually think they knew what they were doing and was deliberate.

No your wrong non-muslims don't have any right to draw pictures of someones else prophets or god...maybe they have a right but its more about respect for others.

Im not saying non-muslims should follow islamic law...just saying that they should at the least respect someone else belief. [addsig]

I knew someone would bring that up!!....

Well to answer that bush is thankfully not a religious figure and just a poltical one...so he's fair game!

I don't see how anyone with even a little bit of common sense can have any respect for a man like him anyway. [addsig]

I'm sorry but i have every right to draw pictures of someones else prophets or god. Maybe if i was living in a muslim country i'd have that right taken away from me.
But i live in Britain, and afaik the guy who drew the pic wasn't living in a muslim country either.

Muslims need to understand we dont need to follow your laws, muslims do.

Would a muslim refrain from beef if it were to respect a hindu, i think not.

You may have the right to draw what you want then ahead go on practice your freedoms this country has given you....but them don't complain and moan when theirs a backlash...like 02 said earlier if you want to play with fire then you will get burnt!!

Mate you need to understand no one is asking you to follow muslim laws, any muslim will tell you this!...By asking for a bit of respect isn't asking you to follow the Islamic law.

I think their is a lot of difference between muslims eating beef and hindus worship of the cow..so what Jews and Muslims dont eat pork yet everyone eats pork around muslims...indeed many muslim who own corner and stores sell pork (which is forbidden in Islam to eat buy or sell) to anyone who eats it.
