The P990i offers supreme camera quality pictures to anything out there because it uses the same technology proven already in the K750/W800 phones. Nokia is close with the N90 using Carl Zeiss lens but isnt gonna work on the Eseries or other 2 Nseries.

What isn't going to work on the other 2 Nseries? Does the N91 and N70 not have Carl Zeiss lenses?

what is your problem with nokia.you guys simply cant accept the truth.always bashing the nokia.i have read quite a bit about new p series.it's not up to expectations of many.forget.some guys cant understand.what is the price for E 70.it's my next phone for sure.

yes, p990 does not fullfill the expectations, as no phone will ever do. in fact it will have a serious problem which will be the lack of software. but it is the best in overall features. also, no one can produce a perfect phone. if you dont mind the price, the best option is p990. you must accept this.

If the 990 can't use the 'others' Pxx's software then is not a 'real' P ! It certainly looks different too.Looks more like a oversized 6680 then a 'usual' Pxx.And how long time will take anyway to rewrite/recompile all the programs for it ? The S60 and microsoft's newest palmtop software is not only compatible with previous versions but they already have a vast program base ! Another point is why on earth did SE implement the outdated wifi (b) and not the latest faster version as nokia ? Isn't this supposed to be their 'flagship' ?

i know that one of p990's drawbacks is the uncompability. but it will reduce over time. if manages to get a good software support for p990, it would be great.

What also bothers me is the slow processor is using ! Why ? Nokia announced a cell 18moths ago and released it 11moths ago which is using exactly the same chip with the same clock speed ! (non other then the legendary 6630) go check if you don't believe ! Apparently the P990 was designed almost 8moths ago but because stability problems with the 'new' OS never made it to the production line. That will explain the slow chip, same camera as the k750 and the slow wifi ! Now if the developers could'nt sort the OS out by now, what guaranties do we have that it will be sorted in 3-6 months from now ? And even if they will, can one still consider it a 'flagship' model by then ? After all the competition isn't exactly sleeping you know ;-)

only the n90 is using the carl zeiss system, sacrificing the vibration functioon on the phone. the n90 is the camera based phone so this is to b expected tbh. it would be like the n91 not bein the only one with 4gb harddrive for music

Yes Super G , unfortunately is true, only 802.11b. That was acceptable as of early 2005 but certainly not in a flagship 2006 model, especially if the competition is 5x faster :-( also the camera (not that important anyway for the market which is targeted) only works well in good day light, the night quality is only satisfactory (to put it mildly) and to make it even worse the picture is already heavy preprocessed. (unlike the N90) It may look good on 'first sight' but that's it !
