All i can say is that p800 will be the best phone, for whose who have use for a pda.
T300 will be SE's no 1 selling phone.
Its going to sell despite its design. Nokia dont have a competitor to it, panasonic and others do. Maybe SE will get 8-9% of the market, but the most importand thing is will they make money. The margin on t300 is not known. They are making good money on t68, but the volumes are to small. The next thing is making a t68 folower which got it all, and not bigger than t68. I wouldn't wanna trade my t300 for a t68i.

I love my T68 but I would like to see SE make their next T68(ish) phone with all the features of the T68 plus: larger memory, better screen resoultion(more colors), java, Polyphonic ring tones if they can do that and keep the same size and price same or less. They would end up gaining a hughe piece of the market. I love my T68, so IMO all they have to do it make it a little more advanced and keep the size the same and if possible through volum selling lower the price. You would see them sell a few million phones. Thats my opinion.
The P800 is a truly amazing kick ass device and instead of buying the T68 I would have waited for the P800, but I knew it would be hughe and I didnt want that. Phones the size of the T68 are what I love.
So SE make a new T68 for next spring only better and I WILL BUY IT!!
As well as alot of you guys I am sure!:)

er guys - av i missed summet here
a)the guy who said he can see no sony input on the p800, r u bein sarcy. it has sonys jog dial, it has sonys design, it has sonys sw applications style, it has sonys ok and clear buttons, it has ultimedia galore in the go create style of sony !! it does not have ericsson design, nor an ericsson styled menu, nor ericsson button layout !!
the genius of SE is that ericsson can manufacture a top nothc phone - sony can design and market a top notch consumer electronics product !!
b) pilino (soz wateva ya name is) erm u sed this : The situation is critical, but that is Sony's fault. The make movies, cameras, and Vaio notebooks. Question: how many Vaio have bluetooth built in? One! And how many cameras have bluetooth? Maybe two.
Sony knew they where joining venture with ericsson but dind't do any effort to insert it in a network of home electronics or something.
Give them time? They had a year now to do it, and in consumer electronics a year is an eternity... Seriously, with which Sony device will you be able to operate your P-800 easily and smoothly? NONE.
That could have been the source of advantage, the key to success. But Sony failed to bring its brand name to SonyEricsson.
wtf !??! wat country u from >!!>
there are now 4 vaio's wiv built in bluettoth, there are 6 video cameras wiv built in bluetooth, and its creeping to 10 didgital still cameras that have built in bluetooth
u seem 2 b tryin 2 say there is no connectiuvity between sony and se products, yet the p800 uses memory stick which is in everything sony - even aibo's arse has a memory stick
it seems this forum topic has lowered in2 anarchy wiv peeps either wantin se's kids or wantin 2 kill se
se is a good company - we all are aware though their bark is worse than their bite in teh respect they got great things 2 shout about but their products are slow 2 come out and few and far between
nokia have little to offer people like us - peeps who want connectivity and options galore - they have phones to offer to peeps who want a spangly phone which looks good and is what their friends have, thats why nokia is so big, cos they not stupid.
they make good phones for everyone to use simply and cheaply.
se make the best phones for everyone to use but few to take full advantage of, a lil more pricey though
so in short
sony and se products are snuggled up in bed - se are makin the best phones and in some respects taking the industry forward
nokia r doin wat they do best knockin out phones left right n centre like theres no tomorrow all in pretty colours n keepin their cust base happy in doing so
but the bottom line is
the p800 is easily the way fwd for mobile phones and is/will be the benchmark. p800 = the full potential and boundaries reached by 2.5G
thats my thoughts, please all comment but dont bitch cos no one is right and no one is wrong - its a forum for opinions !!
in the meantime relax here |

The amount of Sony input into the P800 is an interesting question. I tend to feel that the phone was pretty much 99% Ericsson until the addition of the MS Duo when SE had been together for a few more months. A concept phone from an Ericsson video made a couple of years ago seems to have quite a resemblance to the P800, AND it is clear from the video that it does indeed have a jog dial (albeit on the right hand side of the phone, not the left).
I captured a blurry still image of the phone from the video and stuck it next to a similar shot of a P800. It's at:

Hi guys, i work for T-Com a virtuel network on T-Mobile. We have previewed the SE P800 for netowrk aprovel and i think this handset is amazing but it does not have T9 that comes in a seperate java program. The camera does not have a cover but the front lighting is just like a laptop screen.

I don't get it really ... i says that the P800 has browser for HTML (or xHTML) but what does it really mean ?
Will you be able to surf INTERNET sites (like Esato.com for example )?

Yes you can surf standard websites with the built-in browser. But I guess Opera will be an even better option when it is released for the P800. |

it has no opera (might be released after).
its html support is for html 3.2 and doesn't support frames, which means that obviously you won't see sites exactly the same as in your computer. but enough for seeing almost everything. it also supports chtml (traditional wap sites) of course.
flash support? don't think so. some flash sites show slow with slow pentium III so imagine them in p800.
i have a question, will it be able to change themes, like in t68 and t300? or at least the colors or the typography. it would be perfect if it was xml and we could do complete skins with the possibility of even changing the images of the icons and so...
