Hmm, something is very wrong.
I'll wait till the restore is finished, and then restart the phone and pray to some random god that it wont be this laggy!
@SKIBBE- my wifi is working, and it shouldn't have anything to do with 3

Let's all pray together... 1% of my sms is restored will take all night this. (the keybord lagged when i enterd the configuration stuff at the bootscreen) i guess you will boot your before me. ihop it' was just the first boot that was that slow

The phone maybe is sync'ing with google's server and this is causing the lags?

not for me, did not enter the google info due to that my provider is down here in sweden
Wlan is UP i can tell, but 4% of SMS restored in 5 minutes, you do the math ~1.4h and then mms/system that i guess will take some time to, wounder how it can be that fawking slow... just copy the got damn texts!

@tranced i can't see, doing the restore and it will take at least 1.5h more.. first after that i can reboot and "feel" the phone

try a hard reset/wipe everything!
when i updated my galaxy s to 2.2, it lagged like hell! a full restore fixed it

¤%&¤%&/¤%¤%&¤%&¤& f**k this ... an hour!!! it took a got damn hour to run the restore program only to give me the msg FAIL data could not be restored!!! i'm gona kill someone!! i got 100s of pictures that i dont want to lose.. that's the whole point of BACKUP
